Unfinished Ferrari 400 to 275GTB conversion project for sale

The 365/400/412i series is possibly one of the least beautiful of the classic front engined Ferrari models. It was made for people who wanted two extra seats and the performance of the 4. 2 to 5 litre V12 engines. The 275GTB/4 is arguably the most beautiful Ferrari of the Classic era but with only a 3. 3 litre engine. yet 150mph+ performance. The 400 chassis is basically the same but 300 mm longer than the 275 and the engine is basically the same but larger. My dream was to put them together but. sadly. advancing years and poor health have made me realise that I may never finish it. so I am offering the 300 mm shortened chassis. the original 4. 8 litre engine with 6 twin choke Weber carburetors and automatic gearbox. and and an accurate replica fibreglass 275GTB/4 body to someone who could complete the project. Please note. the photos show the body cut into three pieces for easier handling while trial fitting and only loosely fixed together.
THIS IS NOT A KIT! The buyer will still have some problems to solve and various items to source but at the end of the day you will have a unique car. See my website 275GT etc. or call 07970 994613 for more details of what I have done so far or an appointment to view it in Derby.
I can also make a fibreglass body at £6000 for anyone who wants to start their own project.
DO NOT contact me with questions such as "How much will you take for the engine?" Nothing is for sale separately. Don't waste my time by making bids you can not honour. I expect a deposit of £250 within 24 hours of the sale finishing and the rest in cash on collection. Non UK buyers will need to arrange their own shipping and pay in full before dispatch.

Is it still possible to purchase one of these bodies?
I am working on a similar project, but with a different starting point, and this body would advance my efforts much more quickly than previous plans. Thank you.

Hi there!

Just found your project, I would be interested in buying a fiberglass body of the 275 gtb. what is included in the price, any interior pieces like dashboard for example?

Is the mold taken off an original 275? Is accurate in it´s proportions and dimensions? Are there any dings or damage to the mold which would be transfrerred to a newly made body?

Looking forward to hear from you!
Best regards // Eric Therner
