VW Shelbiette GT SWB Beach Buggy for sale

Shelbiette GT
Well up for sale is my lovingly restored SWB Shelbiette GT.
It was only completed late last Summer but a lack of space and a new project soon to arrive means it has to go.
The buggy has a had a full body off resto. with no nut or bolt left untouched.
Chassis:
·
1971 (Tax Exempt) registered but with K+L front beam and wide 5's all round. On the V 5 as a VW Convertible. Old pans removed and replaced with steel box section and flat steel sheet. leaving the chassis very sturdy without any flex. Coated in marine grade Jotamastic.
·
Wide 5 drums refurbed inside. New solid brake lines run throughout the body.
·
Solid Wide five steels in cellulose black fitted all round. Skinny on front and massive tyres at back.
·
Also built in rollcage with window built into frame.
Body:
·
Restored Shelbiette GT fibreglass tub. sprayed in cellulose Firecracker blue with added Blue metalflake. coated in 7+ layers of lacquer.
Engine and Gearbox:
·
Rebuilt 1835 cc engine
·
Twin 40 Kadrons
·
Genuine Facet pump
·
Scat Serpentine Pulley
·
New Tinwear
·
No problems at all with this and pulls like a train. If I was being picky I would say that it could do with being fully set up on a rolling road.

1600 GT Gearbox so cruises well
·
Short shift gearstick
Electrics:

Safety kill switch
·
GPS Tracker
·
LED Multifunction rear lights
·
New front headlights
Others:
·
Matching front and back seats. with harnesses for front seats
·
Removable quick release steering wheel
Bar the actual chassis. most of the parts are new/restored.
