Timewarp Hillman Avenger Original and unmolested condition.
Offered for sale here is a 1974 Hillman Avenger DL 1. 6 Automatic saloon. registration number SPW 816 N. finished in Orange Blossom with black Ambla trim. This unique Avenger has had just one registered keeper from new and has covered just 2544 miles from new. Supplied new by the Hillman / Chrysler / Rootes dealer. Thompsons of Dereham in Norfolk on the 1 st August 1974 to its one and only registered keeper a Mr EJ Richardson of Swaffham Norfolk. supplied with 12 months road tax £25 and this was to be the one and only time this timewarp car was ever going to be taxed.
The Avenger is badged as a DL model but in fact it is a limited edition "Sunseeker" model finished in a very 70 s colour of Orange Blossom.
Accompanying the car is the original supplying dealers wallet containing the owners manual and service booklet with a single stamp in September 1974 for its running in service. Also in the wallet is the original Endrust auto-truck rustproofing guarantee. The car was put into storage in 1975 where it remained for a number of years before being sold to a collector. at various stages during its life it has been motd as follows. April 1999 2413 miles. April 2005 2414 miles. June 2010 2437 miles. June 2011 2442 miles. and finally January 2014 2451 miles.
I only have the very early style VE 60 registration document so any prospective buyer would need to send of to DVLA for a modern style V 5 C Reg document.
The cars condition is what you would expect. overall it is like new with just a few tiny micro blisters. the rear bumper also has some pitting and to make perfect you would allow to re chrome it.
