This is a very rare Alpine. I have not seen another for sale for many years. It is a 1973 Alpine Renault A 310/4. which is the four cylinder A 310. the most desirable of the A 310's. It has the famous 6 headlight front. the same 1600 cc Carb engine as the later A 110's. basically it is an advanced A 110 with a more modern body. Our car is restored. a lovely driving example and is finished in Silver with Black leather interior. It has the rare Gotti Alloys fitted which finish the car off perfectly. These are so rare they are difficult to value but at less than half the price of the same year A 110. this is great value and a real collectors choice.
Dieppe-based Alpine. once an independent company specialising in faster Renaults. later a Renault subsidiary. established a fine competition history with the Alpine A 110 winning the 1973 Monte Carlo Rally and World Rally Championship. The successor was the Alpine A 310. initially powered by tuned 17 TS/Gordini four-cylinder engine. still rear-mounted. The maximum power reaching 127 PS (93 k W 125 hp). thanks to the use of 2 twin-barrel 45 DCOE Weber carburetors.
The first model of the A 310. built 1971-1976. was a car with a four-cylinder engine and six frontlights. In 1976 the A 310 was restyled by Robert Opron and fitted with the more powerful and newly developed 90-degree 2. 64 cc V 6 PRV engine. as used in some Renaults. Volvos and Peugeots. The basis of the A 310 was a hefty tubular steel backbone chassis. clothed in a fiberglass shell.
The paintwork is lovely. the interior is as new. and the car has a long MOT and Tax and is ready for its new home.
It is fully UK registered. having had only one owner. a renault specialist no less. in the last 14 years. There is a huge history folder going back to the early eighties and the car is totally sorted and ready to use. This is unrepeateable and you will wait many years before finding another example like this.
