FOR SALE. 'Cybill'. my red two door Saab 99 Turbo. Almost completely restored by myself approx 12 years ago with 110 k on the speedometer (now showing 126 k). but never quite finished.
Apart from the headlining and rear axle/bushes. i planned to do these at a later date. & when finances allowed!. everything else on the car was removed. replaced. refurbished or cleaned. New parts replaced at that time inc:Front & rear bumper covers Windscreen & door glass Door and boot seals Front wings and front wheel arches Engine rebuilt with new pistons. bearings. new timing chain & guides. all gaskets & seals replaced
Turbo Clutch and hydraulics Front brakes. bearings and backing plates. Complete re-paint inc engine bay & body kit. I used the car for 5 years. including a trip to the Switzerland. to the international meeting in 2000. i then continued to use it up until 8 years ago upon when it was garaged due to other commitments. over the past couple of years she has been parked on the mothership's drive. and really must go. whilst she is still good and starts & drives!
The not 'so good' points. No tax or MOT. will definitely need CV & steering gaiters.
Exhaust blowing at front. although i will try to resolve this before end of auction
Headlining sagging!
Vinyl lifting on dashboard top.
The car was fitted with a 5 speed gearbox at time of rebuild. which proved to be a little noisy. 'me' thinks pinion bearings.
Viewing highly recommended. She isn't perfect. but she could very easily be glorious again. and I would so like her to go to a good home. and hopefully for this to be the case!
