Triumph Mk 2 2. 5 PI Estate - manual/OD - tax free
This PI estate is in great condition very original. un-welded and solid throughout.
It's remarkable for it's age and represents a very rare opportunity to own a tax-free PI estate that's practical. ready to be enjoyed with no work required.
Yorkshire Triumphs have just completed a full external re-spray in fresh Honeysuckle (it came to us with a very 70's brown stripe down each side that just had to go) and the external finish is now immaculate. vibrant and complete including all original external trim.
Inside. the car has a lovely ‘gentlemen's club' feel. featuring PI specification wood and instrumentation.
The chestnut vinyl and carpets are in excellent condition with all original details present and correct.
Even the factory under-carpet foam sound insulation is in place. with rust free floors beneath.
Family days out will be enhanced by the full-length period Webasto sunroof complete with wind deflector - a truly panoramic driving experience when open.
Mechanically this PI is a joy to drive. The engine starts on the button and delivers great power on demand.
The steering is nicely weighted and the running gear provides great comfort and refinement.
Built on 12 th October 1973. first registered in February 1974 and therefore tax exempt in the UK. this car has completed just over 46000 miles in 43 years while passing through just 4 previous owners. most in the same family.
We acquired this lovely car from a friend that used to deal professionally in Triumph big saloons and estates. This was the one car he just couldn't let go. keeping it for more than 20 years.
The accompanying Heritage Certificate lists all the cars original factory features when supplied by a West Sussex dealer including – Overdrive. PAS. Heater and Inertia front seat belts. It now features two rear lap belts. four new 185/70/13 tyres and rear fog lights.
The car still has its original owner's handbook. a variety of V 5 s spanning the decades and a pile of MOTs that verify it's low mileage.
The current MOT expires in November 2016. but we'll refresh this before sale.
