The Dolomite Sprint was launched in 1973 with a 16 v 2. 0 version of the 1850 “slant four” engine fitted to the standard Dolomite. The motoring press gave the car an enthusiastic reception. mainly due to its impressive performance - 120 mph top speed and 0-60 time of around 8. 4 seconds.

This car is a 1979 Dolomite Sprint in its original colour of Brooklands Green. It is in excellent condition with a recorded mileage of just 72. 00 which is almost certainly correct – there are old MOTs going back to 2002. We have just carried out some re-commissioning after a period of little use and this beautiful Sprint now has 12 months MOT. The body is in excellent condition and this car was Ziebarted from new. The interior trim is in good original order. as is the vinyl roof and the alloy wheels have been re-furbished recently.

Good Sprints are becoming hard to find and judging by the price of other performance cars form the era. they have some way to appreciate. This one offers good value and is ready for the road.
