1989 Renault 5 GT Turbo - Massive spec, triple featured, 240bhp+ for sale

How much for a 24 year old car!?!. if this is your first reaction. then this probably isn't the car for you.
This is my 1989 Renault 5 GT Turbo. which I have owned since august 2005. since then it has been my pride and joy. and I have put more time. money and effort into it than I want to even remember.
The car is modified but to a very high standard. running approximately 240 bhp at a conservative estimate as it hasn't been rolling roaded for a couple of years and has had some big modifications since the last power run of 217 bhp and 256 lb/ft torque. this was with the standard cam. a different water meth setup. and a worn turbo and standard manifold. not bad for an old 1. 4 pushrod 8 v engine hey.
Few things that jump out are the colour. which is custom. the clio 16 v dash conversion. which everything works. the brakes. which are epic. and the engine. which is far from standard. and running over double the power that it was born with. oh and the front bumper exit screamer pipe. if the flames out the actual exhaust dont scare you. the noise from the screamer will! Launch control sounds like a barrage of shotguns. and the huge flames singe anyone standing within 6 feet
Approx 5 years ago. I had the car stripped. any rusty or damaged panels replaced. and resprayed inside. outside. underneath in a custom copper gold colour by a well known bodyshop who specialise in immaculate paintwork.
The engine has many modifications which I will briefly cover below. but its basically a 1. 4 turbo. running a variable geometry turbocharger. mappable electronic ignition. making 27 psi of boost by 3000 rpm and holding it to the redline of 7000 rpm
This car is really really savagely quick. it will do 0-60 in under 4. 5 seconds. and will level peg with a CBR 600 to 100 mph. I know everyone has a mate who had one that was 300 bhp. but in reality it never was. this is circa 240 bhp and its an absolute animal. will break traction in the damp in 5 th gear on high boost. so be warned
Car has been triple featured since i've had it. Performance french cars. Redline and Fastcar magazine. I have all the magazines to go with the car. and photo DVD's of the shoots if required
There is much more that i've forgotten. or subconciusly blocked out so I dont remember how much it cost
I have a box file full of history. reciepts. old MOT's. power graphs etc that will come with the car
It has an oil change every 12 months. or 2000 miles. whatever is sooner. using only motul 10 W 50 fully synthetic oil and genuine parts. Other things get replaced every 2 years like plugs. brake fluid etc. I'm fussy when it comes to cars so only use the best out there.
I'm only advertising this car due to low usage as I have a few other boys toys. I've done 150 miles in the last 2 years. MOT history will prove this.
I'm not looking for swaps. part exchanges. selling to foreign countries. scams. people that just want 'a go' etc. No test drives without insurance and the money in my hand!

CDH custom front mount intercooler and water injection with DDS 3 controller. CDH alloy parts inc. header tank and boost pipes. renault 11 close ratio gearbox. 215 mm flywheel with Helix 4 paddle heavy duty clutch. Blitz s/s filter. Mocal oil cooler and AEM uego gauge. Carbon scuttle covers. Nodiz Pro 3 d ignition with wasted spark to replace distributer. aei and TDC setup. EFI parts trigger wheel setup. external wastegate and screamer pipe with front bumper exit. Full silicone hose kit. satin black engine and gearbox with gold powder coated parts. lots of shiny alloy parts. in car boost and in car 'gain' control for normal or no lag. Full throttle gear shift. and launch control on ECU

Transmission JB 3036 short ratio gearbox from a renault 11 turbo. Helix 4 paddle 172 clutch. modified flywheel to accept 215 mm 172 clutch kit

16" ACE 198 custom painted with 205/40/16 pzero nero tyres
Suspension Details fully polybushed. gaz coilovers. polished devil strut brace. lowered rear torsion bar
Brakes 325 mm Hispec 4 pots. completely new rest of braking system inc pipes braided hoses and cables. volkswagen golf rallye 23 mm master cylinder. dot 5. 1 fluid
Bodywork Full respray inside. underneath and out. New sills. tailgate. doors. wings etc. smoothed std arches and bumper. front bumper grilles opened and numberplate recess deleted. de-locked and washer jets and aerial delete. CTD single wiper conversion. euro red rear lights. custom vent in front wing and side repeaters removed. sills modified for side exit exhaust. complete respray inside and out and under bonnet in custom orange with gold/copper pearl and graphite bonnet with checker airbrushing. Carbon canards. splitter. mirror baseplates. carbon brake ducts. quick release front bumper. TRS towing strap
Interior clio 16 v dash conversion. momo trek steering wheel. sparco pro 2000 kevlar seats and takata harnesses. k-tec rear cage and custom front section. custom boot brace. flocked dashtop. battery relocated to boot in custom setup. Rear kill switch. alloy pedals. gearknob. handbrake. billet indicator stalks. sequential shift light. snap off steering wheel. alpine CD player and rockford fosgate speakers. Toad AI 606 with microwave sensor. remote control lights. remote locking. cat 1 immobiliser.
