This 1800 E is likely to be the most original. low-mileage and unrestored car available anywhere in the world. Unrepeatable museum quality example. Drives as a new example would have. with no clunks or whines and a smoothly engaging overdrive. Capable of being driven anywhere.

Carefully stored and cherished for over forty years in a superb environment. hence incredible condition.

Registered on 01/08/1970 this is a one-owner car for in excess of forty years. Rare Mediterranean blue. with beige Connelly hide. Fitted with factory overdrive and complete with all original tools. jack and spare wheel cover and strap etc. Every MOT and virtually all tax discs. Original handbook. service manual and both sets (original) keys. Original Motorola radio and Radio mobile 8 track stereo.

34. 00 miles from new in mainly one ownership.

Completely without any corrosion whatsoever and this car has never been painted. Still retains the manufacturer's windscreen running-in sticker.

Recent £3500 re-commission by Volvo classic specialists Amazon Cars. with work including: new discs. pads and callipers. rear springs. new hoses. diff seal. 5 new Vredestein tyres. Cibie headlamps replacement plus all oils and fluids changed. control arms and springs. Also fitted with 123 distributor and electronic ignition to improve performance but keep period looks.

This car is unrepeatable because although there are many restored examples. nothing can beat total originality.

This is a car for a collector and someone who appreciates the best in originality. Reluctantly for sale due to commitments preventing planned use. I had been looking for an original 1800 E for some ten years. This is the best I have ever seen.

I do not have the time to use the car for the European tour I planned so now for sale.
