Bond Bug

Bond Bug - this is a small double the British three-wheeled sports vehicle. This is a wedge-shaped mikrokar, with a dome and side screens instead of the usual door. After the purchase of the Bond Cars Ltd, a company Reliant turned to the designer of The Karen from Ogle Design for the development of the "fun car."

The design of Bond Bug was based on the new chassis, developed by the chief engineer of the company John Crosthwaite, as well as some details of the chassis from Reliant Regal. The engine was located at the front and was worth 700 ml (later forced to 750 CC) of the model Reliant - alloy four-cylinder unit, which was stuck in the passenger compartment.

Bond Bug was available in bright orange Mandarin, though, and six white Bug has been prepared for advertising of cigarettes Rothmans.

In contrast to the other three-wheeled machines, such slow as Reliant, Bond Bug was able to ramp up to 78 mph (126 km/h). This put him on a level near chetyrehkolesnymi sports cars of the same era.
