Current customer rating:
Here is a model of Aston Martin rarely offered on ebay. lt is car which has been well known to the Aston Martin Club Register for the past fifty years or so. Registration BPJ 699. chassis number E 3 261 L. ngine number E 3 262
lt was owned post-war by Lft Cdr Rutherford and is pictured touring round Silverstone in 1951. ln the mid 60 s it was complete and lying in the Worcester area with many enthusiasts trying to purchase it from the clutches of the late Alan Riley. ithout success. lt got robbed of parts and decayed over the passage of time until l purchased it in 2004.
What you can see in the pictures is pretty much all there is. The original body panels consist of : scuttle. oth rear side panels one door panel and bootlid for anyone who wanted to rebuild the car as it was originally. The chassis has rotted front and rear. ut the centre section is still quite strong. Both axles are rusted but kingpins and front hubs are good as are the rear hubs. The engine had thrown a rod through the nearside of the block and it was parked up. There are no documents but the car is on the AMOC register and should regain its original registration when rebuilt back as it was originally or as a Le Mans replica.
