FOR SALE: Porsche 911 3.2 Carrera Targa 1987

EQUIPMENT
Porsche Certificate of Authenticity. Electric windows. Electric door mirrors. Central locking. Forged Fuchs alloy wheels. Cruise control. Front fog lights. Turbo rear spoiler. Additional roof panel in carbon fibre. CD player. Spare wheel. RHD conversion.

EXTERIOR
Black on black is a desirable colour combo on any car but looks particularly tasty on the 911 featured here. The bodywork is presentable throughout. with the colour-matched roll bar a nice finishing touch. The detachable Targa roof panel remains in good order. and an additional carbon fibre panel is also included with the sale. The car is not without its imperfections but does remain a very solid and usable example with a commanding presence on the road.

INTERIOR
The black upholstery is a great complement to the exterior bodywork and trim. The interior is in decent condition overall. presenting with light patina in just a few minor areas. The front and rear seats all remain in very good condition and show minimal wear to the bolsters and bases. Furthermore the dash and fascia are free from any damage or distortion. and the steering wheel still retains a nice textured finish.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
The 3. 2-litre flat-six starts first turn of the key and idles up to temperature nicely. A major service was carried out in June this year; at this time the crankcase oil return pipe and oil return tubes were replaced. Being a 1987 Carrera this example is equipped with the desirable five-speed Getrag G50 transmission. The gearbox oil was also changed in June.

WHEELS. TYRES & BRAKES
Filling those voluptuous arches are the original set of forged Fuchs alloys. The polished rims present well with only light curb marking to note. and the painted centres are finished with the correct Porsche caps. The front tyres appear recent and a four-wheel alignment was carried out in February this year. The brake fluid was replaced in June.

HISTORY FILE
The Porsche was first registered in October 1987. In 1991 it was exported to Ireland by a new owner. who went on to keep the car until 2004. During his ownership the car was professionally converted to right-hand drive using all original Porsche parts. It remained in Ireland until 2016. when it was purchased and subsequently UK-registered by the current keeper.

Present in the history file is a large stack of invoices dating back to 1990. The Porsche document pack is also included. and is present with owner's manuals and a stamped service book. The car was most recently serviced in June this year. A Porsche Certificate of Authenticity completes the history.
