EXTERIOR
This stunning flagship pillar-less coupe is finished in the classic shade of Mercedes metallic blue that makes for a lovely combination with the two tone grey lower body trim. The paintwork is in good order with a bright glossy shine and free from any major dents or signs of corrosion. looking around the car the only minor negatives being a few light stone chips and a graze to the edge of the rear bumper. All of the chrome work is excellent as is the rubber seals and plastic trims. All of the glass and lights are free from any moisture or stone chips.

INTERIOR
Climbing aboard the SEC is a real testament to the build quality of Mercedes of this era. the door shuts behind you with a satisfying clunk and you feel completely sealed off from the outside world with the only the methodical ticking from the clock. You instantly feel at ease in the comfortable electrically operated driver's seat as the car passes you the seat belt before you start your drive.

This example is trimmed in the durable Mercedes cloth that has stood the test of time unscathed without the smallest amount of wear or damage. all the carpets are as new and are still protected with the original SEC floor mats. The dash is a well engineered masterpiece of functionality and style finished in beautiful polished wood. All the switch gear works exactly as it should and the boot area is spotlessly clean containing the spare wheel. tools and warning triangle.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
The engine bay is very tidy and the structure of the inner wings are in excellent order with no signs of corrosion. The 5 L V 8 Mercedes engine is fine mechanical condition having only covered 47 k miles in 30 years. It has just received an oil service on arrival here at 4 Star. as well as a replacement radiator and brake fluid change. The 4 speed automatic gearbox still feels smooth and effortless to operate. pulling the car leisurely through the gears.

WHEELS. TYRES & BRAKES
The 15" Mercedes alloy wheels are in good condition all round with only a few very light scuffs to report and the spare alloy is still present in the boot area. The wheels are shod in a matching set of Nexen tyres. still showing 7 mm of tread all-round. With new front pads and a recent brake fluid replacement the braking system is operating perfectly. helping to pull the large Mercedes to a controlled and effortless stop.

HISTORY FILE
The SEC was first registered in March 1983 and delivered to the supplying dealer Bradshaw Webb Chelsea Ltd who also carried out the first inspection at 956 miles in May 1983. Thereafter the car was inspected solely by Belgravia Service Garages from 1984-1996. It was then serviced by Mercedes specialists Q Motors until 2007. and the most recent inspection was an oil service carried out by us at the beginning of May 2013.

In the history file. every single MOT certificate dating back to 1989 can be found helping to verify the cars low mileage. The original Mercedes document holder containing all the owner's manuals and booklets is also still present.
