This is a left hand drive 1979 Volkswagen Beetle Cabriolet (one of the last few produced) originally registered in Germany so no catalytic converter or impact bumpers to contend with. was imported into the UK on the 16th March 1982. as the pictures show she is in excellent condition for her age with a comprehensive history file to compliment the vehicle which includes the VW Automuseum birth certificate confirming engine/gearbox are original to car. The last 4 years the vehicle has covered less than 500 miles having been kept garaged and undercover in southern Spain. was trailered back to the UK just last week and will be freshly MOT'd if sold. Viewing is essential to appreciate how good this example is. Fittted with front and rear fog lights separately switched. heated rear screen and unusually intermittent winscreen wiping. has ATS wheels including the spare all of which have been powder coated and shod with Continental tyres all in excellent condition and has a face-off Alpine CD/Radio which is Ipod compatible. Prior to being sent to Spain the following work and new parts fitment having been carried out. all of which is confirmed within the vehicle history file. All CV joints/boots/bolts replaced. body trim. new hood bag from Klaus Hermann Mayer. powder coating to all wheels. underside waxoyl. rear shock absorbers. rear lights (chrome surround type) coil. front/rear bumpers. engine tinware. bumper brackets & tow bar parts powder coated. gearbox refurb by Cogbox. clutch. heat exchangers. exhaust. in-line fuel lead replacement cylinder. silicone flywheel seal. engine compartment seal. electronic ignition (replaces points) brake discs/calipers/flexi hoses. front brake pads. rear brake shoes and rear brake cylinders. . have probably forgotten some items but the list gives an idea of how well looked after this car is. I have also fitted a new battery this week and plan to change the oil and plugs too at some point.
