Pulled out of a large private mercedes collection and dry stored in a dehumidified collection since 2009
It has not been on the road ie. taxed since 2003 and its last MOT dates from 2009 when it entered the door of the collection.
The paintwork is all factory and original 98% perfect. will outshine most. with a few small imperfections. we do not intend to do any paint work on the car as that would detract from its originality and collectability. unless a client specifies it.
Factory hard top in immaculate condition
Factory soft top in immaculate condition with a very small crack in the original side window
4 seater in full leather
Economy gearbox
Etc.
Currently going though our usual pre sale preparation to make sure this car goes out 100%.
The underside is all original and never been touched. it shows all the factory waxoyl in all the right places (even the sump which only Mercedes used to do). It needs nothing replacing or repairing it's like new.
Through the recommision process we will be doing
4 x tyres due to perishing. these fitted are the originals
4 x wheel refurbs due to light scratches
Front discs and pads due to surface corrosion from being stood
Radiator has swelled at the top very slightly so will be replaced
Thermostat housing seal has a slight leak
Exhaust is the original and the back box has some slight corrosion to it so this will be replaced.
12 Months MOT
Full Service. brake fluid change etc etc
Once completed this 300 SL will offer one of the most sound invesments available in a future classic Mercedes. the prices are rising very quickly.
