1954 Morris Oxford MO for sale.

Lovely and shabby. this old Morris attracts attention where ever it goes. It is taxed and MOT exempt. The last MOT ran out in January 2014. The 1476 cc side valve engine sounds lovely and runs fine. The column change gearbox is not sloppy and is easy to use. The clutch pedal is a bit high but it works fine and does not slip. There is a new friction plate included with the car. The brakes work.

The paintwork is old and some of it is peeling off and there are some rusty bits up and down. the front off side wing is from another car and has been painted and it is a slightly different colour. The two off side doors are all dented after a collision with a skip wagon. It will not win a show. The underneath is pretty solid. it has had some welding on the sills in the past. The chrome on the front bumper is ok. the grille is in nice condition. the rear bumper is rough.

The interior is also pretty scruffy although the seats are not ripped and the headlining is alright. The door cards are rough along the bottom and the bottom of the doors will need work if you choose to do it. All this is called patina!

Overall this is a great old classic car that can be used daily. There is some history with the car including the original warranty taken out by the first owner and a list of all the past owners. These cars are quite rare now and it will only go up in value when people realise there are hardly any left.
