The P 1800 s is one of the nicest cars ever made.
Beautiful design. perfectly matted to a powerful and silent 4 cyl engine. 2 Carburators. loaded with an extra smooth 4-speed transmission plus electric overdrive. A real pleasure to drive in town and excellent for the highway. "A Plus".
The car runs like a Champ. Tight and accurate transmission. perfect clutch condition. Good brakes. Better suspension.
While I am listing the car for sale. I am still debating on whether to invest what it might take to have it re-painted and detailed and enjoy it before making a move. I was always looking for a desirable early model like this one. I've already found a brand new and complete set of carpets. headliner and etc. Parts for these cars are very cheap and there is a lot of original components available. Other than the headliner and carpets ($390. 00). the interior is in great shape. Dash. gauges. etc. Beautiful and original steering wheel. seat belts. seats. door panels. etc. The oil pressure and temperature gauges need attention. The speedo and tach just need calibration. Turn signals. lights. interior lights. etc. . are all in working condition. Very solid and straight vehicle. The undercarriage shows perfect. There is no signs of rust. repairs and/or any major accident.
Paint: Unprofessional and bad paint job. Weakest point. Pictures and color help but. the car deserves to be re-painted because of its overall condition. It is a very hard to find car and also an excellent investment. especially taking it to the next quality level.
I have a file with lots of records since 1992. I believe I am the 3 rd. owner of this beauty.
