1949 Diamond T 306 for sale
Current customer rating:
Up for sale is our '49 Diamond T 306.
Please take a look and call or mail us with any questions
We bought the truck about 3 years ago as a restored truck pretty much as you see here in these photos.
The previous owner had the restoration work done as close as he could to the original. We converted the 6 volt system to 12 volt. added a Reese style hitch. re wired and installed the tail lights and the turn signals on the fenders.
The interior is very clean.
New glass and windshield seals.
The gauges are in very good condition.
The truck has the original Hercules 6 cyl.
It starts and runs fine - however the 306 was geared very low from the factory. this truck is not meant for use at today's highway speeds.
There is a plate that reads max speed 52 mph. . /
We stopped this project at this point: had our mechanic take out the Clarke rear end to explore replacing its ring and pinion gears or upgrade to a totally different rear end.
Before it was resolved our mechanic informed us he was moving which has made this project no longer a practical matter for us.
The truck currently sits in our shop.
We love looking at it. it gets all kinds of compliments and comments. but it seems it would be put to a greater use with a new owner either - a collector looking for a nice restored as original example Diamond T or someone who has the knowledge and ability to get this truck rolling at today's highway speeds.
If you are genuinely interested in buying this truck you can call
or mail thru ebay.
We are not looking for a broker to sell the truck so please do not contact pitching us on that.
The truck is for sale locally as well.
The Buyer will be responsible for shipping or picking up the truck. This means quotes. etc.
It is at a commercial location. and was dropped by an enclosed hauler when we bought.
