Mr Hester was wheelchair bound which is why he had an automatic (rare) installed in the car.

It also had hand controls but we have removed them.

302 Ford V-8. bored 0. 30 over. TRW pistons. completely balanced and blueprinted.

HIgh performance heads. windage tray. high volume oil pump. double roller timing chain. competition cam. Cobra valve covers and performance breather. Ford dura Spark electronic ignition. C-4 Automatic transmission with competition shift kit. 3500 rpm stall converter. car could easily be converted to a top loader.

It has NASCAR quick release Cobra steering wheel. Simpson shoulder harness seat belts. Jet Hot Coated side pipe exhaust. Paint was imported from Mercedes in Germany and is beautiful! Frame is powder coated.
Inboard Jaguar rear end with independent suspension. Carrera coilovers. 2 front and 4 rear. Aluminum front air intake shrouding. engine oil cooler. automatic Halon fire suppression system. automatic temp regulating system. stewart warner gauges. black leather interior. stereo system. Halibrand style wheels and new tires! You can't compare this Shelby 427 SC to the cheap look a likes.
