With the Morris Minor firmly ensconced as an icon of 1950 s-60 s British motoring. designed by legendary Alec Issigonis. who went on to enduring fame for his groundbreaking work on the Mini. Featuring rack-and-pinion steering and an independent front suspension with torsion bars. the Minor quickly gained acclaim for its precise handling and excellent driving dynamics. which belied its economy market position. The brilliant Minor proved to be the more sophisticated English counterpart to the Volkswagen Beetle.

The left-hand drive 1000 Convertible offered here is a great running and driving example. which benefits from light preservation over the years as needed and appears to have never received a complete restoration. Finished in Old English White over Maroon leather trim. a white vinyl top and maroon belt stripe compliment. A three-owner example. the Minor has spent the last decade in east Texas after residing in Albuquerque. New Mexico for some time.

The undercarraige looks to be all original and there is some corrosion visible in areas. as with most Austin/Morris vehicles. but overall remains very serviceable and structurally sound. The original Driver's manual. spare. jack and accessories accompany this open-aired example of the immensely successful Minor. Known for their distinctively classic British styling and very simple mechanics. here is a fantastic candidate for light restoration or just a great weekend cruiser as it is.
