Up for auction is a Factory Five Racing 1965 Shelby Cobra. This is an excellent build and it has been garage kept and pampered since the car was built in 2002. It currently has 4. 73 miles and the car runs. drives. handles. sounds. and looks awesome! It is a real good and very strong running car that is dependable and can be driven anywhere… right now! I have the North Carolina State inspection dated 12/30/2013 also.

The

paint and body

are basically show quality. The color is Charcoal Grey Metallic and the paint looks to be 3 foot deep. The car is as slick as glass and the chrome and trim are basically excellent as well. The wheels are Halibrand with BF Goodrich Radial TA’ s.

The

engine

is a Ford Motorsport 351-HO SVO 385 hp small block. It has a big cam and big heads and that equals big top end power!

This motor includes

a nodular cast-iron crankshaft heavy-duty marine/truck connecting rods. and hypereutectic pistons with a 1/16-inch moly-faced top ring. 1/16-inch chrome-plated second. and a 3/16-inch standard-tension. expanded rail-type oil ring.

The engines flat-tappet. high-lift hydraulic cam offers a significant power increase without beating up the valve train.

The cam's lobes activate anti-pump-up hydraulic lifters hardened 5/16-inch-diameter pushrods and 1. 60:1 roller tip. needle-bearing-fulcrum roller rocker arms to lift the 1. 94-inch intake/1. 60-inch stainless steel exhaust valves off their seats in SVO Windsor high-flow aluminum cylinder heads which feature minor porting under the valve seat in the short-turn-radius area and a three-angle valve job.

The motor is fed by an Edelbrock 750 cfm carburetor with an electric choke. Other amenities include Ford Motorsport polished headers with chrome side pipes. Ford Cobra aluminum valve covers. aluminum high performance water pump. MSD distributor. MSD ignition w/6 AL box. and the hoses are Goodyear Super Hi Miler blue hoses.

This motor starts right up with one light turn of the key and it sounds absolutely awesome. It is tuned right and dialed in.

The transmission is a Tremec 5-speed HD and it shifts nice and firm. The clutch feels right and the car brakes excellent. It needs nothing! The rear end is T-bird Traction Lock with 3. 27 gear ratio.

The

interior

is clean and neat and it looks correct. It has Simpson Racing belts. Classic Instrument gauges. and a Sony CD stereo.

As stated above. this was a professional and clean build with much attention paid to the details. If you are in the market then do not pass the opportunity to own this one. I have owned several and this one is by far my favorite yet!

This car is 100% fun and it is a pleasure and a blast to drive. There is nothing like the feel of an open-air afternoon cruise!

I can pick you up at the Augusta GA airport on almost any day except Sunday… fly in and drive it home!
