Vintage Fiat/Abarth Rat Rod for sale
Current customer rating:
Cool. Vintage. One Off. Attention Getting. Euro-Trash/Rat Rod. Fiat 600 D. Totally flared fenderwells. refabricated VW style floor pan. VW running gear and totally radical. liquid cooled. VW Wasser Boxer motor with. wait for it. dual Dellorto carbs. Oh. and did I forget to mention. the ultra rare. suicide style door openings! Just try finding a stock photo of this car with these doors.
There might be. like. wo or three on the net.
The exclusivity alone is worth the price of admission.
As was told and written down to me. the car had 35-40 k miles before the rotisserie conversion.
All rust was cut out and fiberglass fender extensions were made.
All front axles. brakes. hubs. transaxle. etc. are VW Type 1.
Radiator is as newer Summit Racing for Scirroco. Wheels are 15 inch VW centers cut to fit 13 inch rims with new Firestone 175 70 13 tires.
Engine is from a 1984 Westfalia Camper with approximately 90 k miles. A recent compression test showed all cylinders within 15 pounds of one another.
I am told the motor was never apart.
Fuel injection system removed and replaced with twin manifolds and Dellorto carbs distributor 009 mechanical VW and Bosch OEM VW coil.
Much more to say. so if you are truly interested. please e mail me with any questions you may have and I will answer to my best and honest ability.
Abarth badging was added by me as part of the Euro-Trash/Rat Rod theme.
Not too much. and perfectly placed.
Scat shifter handles those duties in true notchy fashion.
New brakes. clutch. hoses. and 5 gallon fuel cell.
And. as in most vintage VW's. the obligatory front firewall mounted reserve tank valve is in it's rightful location.
One last thing I will mention of interest is the discreet Roll Bar inside the car. I highly doubt you will need or use it but. it is cool!
No warranty either expressed or implied.
Thank you.
