Now this is a real man's SUV!  I bought this rare. incredibly low mileage classic a few months ago as a “near perfect”. one-owner vehicle with only 26. 00 miles.   I drove it home from South Carolina to Southern Mississippi and found a few minor flaws along the way.   Since this was a truck that my wife said she really wanted. I spent nearly $1. 00 repairing the Air Conditioner. which someone had unsuccessfully converted to R-134a.   It now blows nice and cold!  I also replaced the shocks. tightened the steering and had it properly aligned so the steering wheel is pointed nice and straight going down the road.   I also installed a leather Wheelskin on the steering wheel for comfort and mounted steps on both sides of the vehicle for easy entry/exit.   These trucks did not have shoulder belts in the rear seat. so I added 4-point harness system for the safety of my young child.   I still have the old lap belt and a second 4-point harness if you would like to add it to the other side of the rear seat.   I also replaced one of the two fuel injectors on the TBI system as well as the OEM distributor cap. rotor. air filter. and O2 (oxygen) sensor to make the workhorse Chrysler 318/5. 2L engine idle nice and smooth.   The truck has plenty of power and runs well whether you are on the road or off!

I know that if you appreciate these future classic vehicles that you are going to love this one.   As I said earlier. I bought this for my wife. who has recently decided that this is no longer what she really wants to drive. so I have to put this beauty up for sale.   It has been garaged for the entirety of its existence and the paint and interior reflect that.   There are no appreciable flaws in the body or interior.   It appears that the silver portion of the two-tone silver/burgundy paint may have been re-shot at some point. which is typical of 80's model factory paint. but it was good paint work.   The only remaining items that I would address if I were keeping the truck is the original headliner is starting to sag a little in the rear of the vehicle.   Also. the rear main oil seal is leaks slightly. but if you “BUY IT NOW”. I'll fix that for you and I'll include the Factory Service Manual.   Winning bidder gets original owner's manual. two spare tires (one pictured. the other is mounted in the truck with the factory tire cover). and all historical service records.

All options work perfectly: factory AM/FM radio and cassette player. cruise control. power windows. power brakes. power door locks. and Radio Shack CB radio.   The tires have excellent tread. the rugged 727 Torqueflite transmission was just serviced with fresh Amsoil synthetic fluid and shifts perfectly. and the four drive system is also ready for action.

I hate to let this go. but I have more vehicles than I need right now. so my loss is a Mopar lover's huge gain!

On Mar-09-14 at 11:25:37 PDT. seller added the following information:

The tires are LT 31 x 10. 5 R15 Dunlop Radial Rover A/T with a minimum of 10/32 and a maximum of 13/32 of tread remaining. depending on which tire you measure.

To clarify the condition description above: I will replace the rear main seal if the winning bidder pays the "BUY IT NOW" price.   I will not replace the headliner as it is only partially sagging in the rear segment.   The front segment is pulled away slightly as well. but it is even less significant.   I only mention it because I want the winning bidder to be happy and understand that if you want it truly perfect. a new headliner would be required.

Bronco and Blazer fans beware. this classic sport utility vehicle is the real deal!!!

Wow!  I have to share this story with my Ramcharger fans!!!  So. earlier today I received an Ebay message about this vehicle from a gentleman (I'll use that term very loosely) who wanted to know if I had documentation to confirm that this vehicle truly only had 27. 00 miles.   Actually. he wanted to know if I had "every oil change record" from the truck's inception.   The original owner left behind a lot of documents when he traded it to a classic car dealer in South Carolina. but I doubted that "every" record was in there.   Suddenly I found myself being called a liar and a cheat for daring to advertise what surely must be a restored vehicle with a phoney odometer reading as a true. almost perfect. survivor.   I never met the original owner. so I don't know why he only put around 26. 00 miles on such a wonderful vehicle in the 25 years that he owned it. but I can tell that he loved and cared for this truck.   It even still has a hint of the new car smell inside.   But hey. according to my new Ebay buddy. everyone on Ebay lies. so what you want is proof. right?  Well here goes:

The truck was purchased in Fredericksburg. Virginia on 12/28/88 with 125 miles.   Naturally I have the original window sticker showing an MSRP of $21. 93. 00 and the odometer statement.   Most of the service records come from local shops that do not write down mileages. so I could only find one record from the dealership that showed 6. 00 miles on 3/6/91. Just as I was about to get discouraged. I noticed a little stack of pink slips all paper clipped together.   For those of you who have never lived in Virginia. these are the Virgina State Police Inspection Certification receipts that you must have yearly to be able to maintain a registered vehicle in the state.   Here is a list of the dates and mileages found on these slips: 11/22/88 (10 miles). 3/14/90 (3. 14). 3/16/91 (6. 00). 3/2/92 (6. 03). 3/8/93 (6. 83). 3/7/94 (6. 69). 3/14/96 (7. 47). 3/6/97 (7. 89). 3/5/98 (7. 04). 3/20/99 (7. 24). 3/1/00 (12. 17). 3/12/01 (22. 06). 3/6/02 (23. 79). 3/4/03 (24. 03). 3/10/04 (25. 20). 4/4/05 (25. 84). (26. 56). 5/9/08 (26. 26). 6/9/09 (26. 86).

If you are a doubter. my guess is that you are still a doubter. and quite frankly I don't believe you are worthy of such a fine automobile. nbsp; Looking at those mileages and dates. I suspect that the previous owner may have had some health problems and had to find someone just to start the truck and drive it down to the inspection station. There were almost zero miles placed on the truck from June 2009 until I bought it in the summer of 2013. so I'm betting it took this gentleman (and I'm not using that term loosely now) some four years to finally part with his baby.   Now I feel horrible for not appreciating her more. but I just don't have the garage space for an extra vehicle. which is what this has become for me.   I do hope the winning bidder fully appreciates the rarity of this find.
