DESCRIPTION

Marking the end of the original generation of GTO came about in 1967. with only a few styling changes to enhance the exterior further. They included a wire mesh front grill. wider rocker sill moldings with GTO emblem moved from the fender to the forward portion. and redesigned rear tail lamps. This final year Goat also features a slightly longer body and wider wheel track for added stability. along with extra Federally mandated safety features like padded dash. new dash knobs. and energy-absorbing steering wheel & column. The engine size grew for the first time to an even 400 ci. and came available in three horsepower packages.

We are pleased to offer this 1967 Pontiac GTO Convertible finished in custom Metallic Plum over an original Parchment Strato-bucket seat interior! Options include number's matching. YS coded 400 ci V 8 engine producing a factory rated 335 horsepower. console shifted his/hers automatic transmission. factory 3. 36 gear ratio. power steering. power folding convertible top. all LOF glass (new windshield). polished 14” Hurst wheels fitted with new tires. pushbutton AM radio. dual outside mirrors. rubber floor mats. and more!

The former owner of 24 years took extra special care of his Goat. and after enjoying it as an all original. unrestored car for over a decade. he decided to have the car repainted a custom PPG color that really pops under the sun! The all original sheet metal was already exceptionally straight and rust-free. so the body was prepped and expertly painted by a St. Louis area professional Rick Sickendick in approximately 2002. Even after all these years that have passed by. the gloss and shine of the finish remains quite remarkable! Other noted improvements included a new convertible top. fresh weather stripping. gas tank & fuel sending unit. Used only sparingly since completion. the proud former owner only pulled it out once or twice a year for World of Wheels shows or other local venues just for fun. The under hood presentation is very sharp. clean. and well presented in stock form. More recently it received an all new exhaust system. brand new Hurst 14 x 6” polished wheels & Firestone radial tires. all new brake shoes & cylinders were replaced at all four corners. along with spark plug wires and new spark plugs. It can be shown or enjoyed for cruising immediately! We feel confident it should provide many more years of enjoyment to the next. lucky owner as well! The mileage shown of 48. 75 was claimed to be actual when presented to the Museum. but not enough supporting evidence was provided to make any official guarantees. It will come with all supporting PHS documentation. rear trunk mat. spare tire & cover. convertible boot cover. and an extra set of keys.
