The vehicle was owned by my wife's grandfather and has stayed in the family since he bought it 30 years ago. It is a California car. The engine has never failed to start and mechanically the vehicle is in great shape. Recent replacements/fixes include rebuilt radiator, new master cylinder, new rear coils and springs, rebuilt front and rear brakes, and new exhaust. Exterior of the vehicle looks good overall, though there are cosmetic defects including a scratch on the passenger door, and the rocker panels are a little rusty and need welding/replacing. Current customer rating:
My wife's father purchased this car in California in the 80's and did a bunch of mechanical and cosmetic work to the vehicle. including painting the car and upgrading the transmission to a 1976 MGB tranny with overdrive.
As listed in the vehicle condition section. the MGB is in great shape overall and at a distance looks pretty good too - especially with the period California black plates and wire knockoff wheels.

The engine has never failed to start and mechanically the vehicle is in great shape.
Recent replacements/fixes include rebuilt radiator. new master cylinder. new rear coils and springs. rebuilt front and rear brakes. and new exhaust.
The clutch gets a little loose if driving in stop & go traffic in hot weather. but that's to be expected. and the battery is a bit old and probably could use replacing.
Exterior of the vehicle looks good overall especially from a distance. though the paint is a bit faded at this point.
There are cosmetic defects. including a scratch on the passenger door. and the rocker panels are a little rusty and need welding/replacing.
Also. the driver's side door catch is loose so it needs a good shove in order to latch.
Interior of the car is in good shape.
The carpeting should be replaced and I'd paint the dash and replace the cassette player with a period BMC radio or MG faceplate.
This is the perfect car for someone to do a bit of work to and then have a beautiful driver.
There's nothing quite like driving an MGB.
So much fun.
Vehicle comes with a convertible top that's in very good condition.
No rips or tears.
