Pulled from a garage where it had sat for nearly 20+ years is this rare French export Tartan Red MG Midget. As a MG enthusiast and because of the unique history of this car I bought this as a father/son project last winter with the intention of a full restoration. But alas. we didn't realize that drivers over 6 feet tall don't fit comfortably in the seat. so regretfully it must be sold. According to the included British Motor Heritage Certificate. after this midget was built in Sept. 1963 it was exported to France. As detailed in the certificate the car still has the ULTRA RARE$$$$ French market Smiths kilometer KMH speedometer and temp gauge which reads in centigrade. Also notice the body # of the car is written in yellow crayon on the rear parcel shelf. This was a customary practice at the factory as the car rolled down the assembly line. Needs total restoration which would include BUT NOT LIMITED TO; replacement of the 2 rockers. drivers floorboard. battery shelf and many other items. Included is a more rugged (2"main) 10CC 1098 motor and the highly desireable 12G295 head. Both have internal parts missing and will need to be rebuilt. A ribbed case transmission is still installed in the car. condition unknown. Correct Wilmot Breeden keys for the ignition and trunk. This GAN2 model was the last of the true roadsters built by the British Motor Corporation as the succeeding model had roll up windows and outside door handles. Factory options include 5 wire wheels and heater. This is the lowest production series of any Midget. period. Early on. most of these cars were cannibilized to restore bugeyes as they share the doors and many mechanical components. Hence. there are few left. NH titled and registered with a notarized bill of sale. Willing to sell worldwide as long as the buyer handles all the shipping arrangements. No Reserve. Please review the payment instructions.
