Up for auction is this 1967 Mustang Fastback. This car came from the factory with the following options. GT package. Power Disc Brakes. Air Conditioning. Deluxe interior. Fold-down rear seat. nbsp;rare Tilt - Steering wheel. clock. Power Steering. Am Radio. tinted glass and deluxe seat belts. A lot of time and money has been spent on this car over the past couple years in restoring it. The following things have been done:
- Brand new / freshly rebuilt 289 V8 with Edelbrock Alum intake. Edelbrock carb. and Competition cams 268 cam and Ceramic coated headers. Everything under the hood is brand new. Fuel pump. alternatior. distributer. etc. The engine has been fired and cam broken in. however there are Zero miles on it ! It sounds great but loud with no exhaust on it. I will try to figure out how to make a video of it running.
- The suspension and steering is also brand new. All bushings. Upper and lower control arms. springs. shocks. etc were all replaced and upgraded. These also have zero miles on them.
- The brakes are all Brand New and correct GT 4piston Disc brakes up front and drums in the back.
- This car was a factory deluxe interior car and the interior has been redone with all stock / original parts. New Dash pad. instrument cluster. new brushed alum. panels. all fiberglass and metal panels were repainted Satin black. New carpet. underlayment. door panels. etc. The seats have no tears and the headliner was in nice shape.
- This car has spent its whole life in the south and is a good solid car ! The entire underside was sanded and painted with rustoleum chasis black. Under the carpet and all the way back to the trunk was rust proofed and painted red oxide. Also. removed the rear end and painted / detailed that as well. Installed new gas tank and sending unit. Overall the body is real straight very small blemishes on the body / small bubbles and are very early signs of rust. I figured I would just take care of it when and if I ever painted it. I just wanted to get it driveable and I actually think the satin black looks pretty good. The original color was Vintage Burgandy. This is a beautiful color on a classic Mustang and would look fantastic in a new base clear paint job and GT stripes. But I will let someone else decide on the color. I also installed brand new front and rear bumpers. remote mirror. new GT foglights and GT gas cap. The tires are brand new BFG radial T/A's. I'm sure I am forgetting some stuff. but just ask if you have any questions.
- I plan to install the power steering pump this weekend and get that hooked up. Basically. whats left to do on the car is install exhaust to be street legal. There is still some wiring that needs hooked up. The A/C is not hooked up. Will need compressor . brackets and pulley if you want to use that. And a paint job. There are a few trim pieces that I have left off of it. Like the drip rail moldings. I have them and they will be included. The front turn signal lights and a few other odds and ends.
I plan to advertise the car locally and I reserve the right to stop the auction early. However. once the reserve has been met. nbsp; I will let the auction run till the end.
If you have ZERO feedback. nbsp; DO NOT BID on my car with contacting me first ! I will cancel your bid otherwise. If you bid and are the high bidder. plan to purchase the Mustang. If you need to ask your wife or someone else. Do that before bidding. If you are the high bidder it doesn't mean you then have the right to come see it and decide if you really want it. If you want to see the car in person. come see it Before the auction ends! Just let me know and I will be glad to show it to you. It's pretty simple. just treat people the way you would want to be treated if you had a car you were selling. If you need additional pictures. ask for them and I will get them for you.
The Mustang is located about 30 minutes outside of Roanoke. Virginia.
I have a great contact that can provide excellent shipping rates for anyone not local.
A ton of time and money has gone into this project. I have practically restored the entire car ! I think someone will get a great car for the money. I just hope someone appreciates all the hard work.
Thanks for looking and Good Luck !
I ran out of room for uploading pictures. so I am gonna try to upload more through photobucket.
