Advertised is my beloved Daimler that I have owned and enjoyed since 24 th December 2012.
I purchased this from a good friend of mine who is a 20 year experienced mechanic and classic vehicle enthusiast. who owned the car since 2010. Before this it was owned by a Jaguar enthusiast that has owned many of these and he owned this one for over 10 years!!
In September 2010. the car had the following Full strip down and respray in Rolls Royce Blue Brand new front and rear screen seals Fully waxoiled Sunroof water run offs redirected to prevent common rust issue Full service including all 12 spark plugs. rotor arm. dizzy cap. 12 HT leads. air filters. fuel filters Genuine Jaguar E Type steering wheel fitted Brand new headlining Brand new headlights and backing bowls Brand new side repeaters Xenon headlight kit Number plates Remote locking kit fitted and door locks removed Battery relocated to boot Daimler grill and badges swapped for Jaguar (personal preference. Daimler grill and badges still available if I can find them in the shed!)
Lots more prior history included with the car dating back to 1997 when a restoration diary was started that runs up to 2010!!
Currently the Daimler has a genuine 92. 00 miles but this will go up slightly as I am still enjoying it until it is sold!
It has a MOT until December which had NO ADVISORIES
Tax until the end of June
The engine and gearbox are in beautiful condition and easily waft you along the winding roads or up to high speeds on the motorway! (not over 70 of course. wink wink!!)
I am unable to fault this car. it is simply brilliant and cannot think of a smoother car I have ever driven!
The only reason for selling is I now need a new car to commute and travel across the UK on business. and while this is the most pleasant place to be while on the road. I cannot bring myself to drive it in the rain and see it ruined. and the fact it rarely sees above 20 MPG doesn't help!
I am open to offers around my asking price but I would consider a part exchange either way for one of the following BMW E 60 5 series
BMW E 46 3 Series
Jaguar XJ X 350 model
