This car was purchased in 1989 and was driven on a 500 mile round trip. since then it has been stored in a dry garage with other cars.

The car belongs to my wife. her former husband was the one who drove the car but he has since passed away.   My wife didn't have much interest in the car so it has been left standing in the garage.   Then I arrived. but I am a Jaguar man.

To start with I got the car running and considering the length of time the car had been standing it started relatively easily.   It had new fuel and a good clean. I then took it for an M. O. T. and it passed!  The car was running but not very well so I spent a lot of time getting it right. I put on a new set of leads. new battery. new petrol pump and I had the timing and mixture set up and now it is awesome!

And now for the rest of the car.   The chassis number starts 1234.   It was sprayed a two tone grey in the 80's - a great colour combination.   The black vinyl roof was fitted at the factory in 1971 and is still in perfect condition.   The alloy wheels were fitted in 1973 and are stamped to prove this.   The tyres are all good and are the original pattern to the ones that were fitted as standard - Dunlop SP Sport.

You can see by the photographs that the interior of the car is in beautiful condition. the black leather is in exceptional condition and the back seat is like new as are the carpets.   It has the original 8-track stereo player and it still works.   It also comes with two sets of keys - this is rare.

The underside is as good as the outside.   As far as I can see it has never been welded and does not need any now.   The stainless steel exhaust follows the contour of the floor pans.

The car runs a treat. changes gear smoothly and pulls like a train.   The car is 43 years old and does have some little age related marks and slight pitting on the bumpers but this may polish out.   This is a genuine unmolested example of this fine marque.

I have now put a new M. O. T. on the car. it has done only six miles in the last twelve months and that was to take it to the M. O. T. station and back.   The tax is free and is due on 31st March 2014.   Fully comp. insurance is only £144 per annum.

The registration number is included in the price but if you do not want it we can retain it. you can then take £2. 00 of the final price.   Jensen Interceptors are now starting to increase in value.
