1985 Trihawk Excellent Condition!

For your consideration is a rare 1985 Trihawk.

Own a piece of Southern California history.

Less than 100 Trihawks were built in Dana Point in the early 1980 s before Harley Davidson bought the company and later scrapped the entire line.

Trihawks corner like they are on rails and this one is no exception. a blast to drive.

Beware that Trihawks always draw a crowd. so be prepared for the attention.

Includes original owners manual and parts manual. Interior is in excellent shape. as is the convertible top.

Also includes the side curtains which are in very good condition.

Frame off restoration of this 1985 Trihawk. one of the last ones produced by Trihawk Motors.

Restoration included:
1. New tires 2. Powder coated wheels 3. New windshield 4. All engine cooling shrouds removed and powder coated
5. Intake manifold and valve covers silver powder coated
6. New timing belts 7. New oil cooler and carb to manifold gasket 8. New front stainless steel bumper 9. Rewired 10.

Paint taken down to gel coat and repainted to original yellow.

Since it was painted 3 or 4 minor dings have occurred
11. Body removed. cleaned and undercoated 12. New Sony stereo with i Pod/i Phone interface and speakers 13. Sound proofing throughout 14. New carpet
15. New headlight cans and lamps 16. Seats disassembled and seat frames powder coated.

Upholstery shop reassembled the seats
17. Driver and passenger side interior trim reupholstered
18. New gas tank fill hose 19.

All hoses and vent lines are new 20.

New trunk lid Trihawk stamped map pouch 21. New clutch cable 22. New emergency brake handle
23. New exhaust system. including chrome heat shields

Runs great but could benefit from having the carb tuned as it runs rich.

Also. the buyer should be aware of the following:

One has to shift smoothly to 2 nd or 3 rd. otherwise one will encounter a slight grinding of the gears.

I usually pause slightly between shifts and this helps 2. The speedometer stopped working shortly after I completed the restoration and I've not taken the time to investigate it 3. The new exhaust system is straight pipes without mufflers. it is pretty loud. though I've not received any complaints from my neighbors.
4. Latches for the trunk lid are missing
5. There are a few dings in the paint
