Current customer rating:
I purchased this car at Mecham Indianapolis auction a few years ago and shipped it directly to my shop in Austin (Auto Tech) where they spent several months performing some major upgrades to the car - including: Edelbrock intake. carb. valve covers & air filter. new dual exhaust w/ chrome tips. ceramic coated headers. Hotchkis sway bars. shocks & springs. MSD electronic ignition. braided fuel lines. plug wires. full engine & drivetrain tune. and more.
Everything works including the hood tach. AC. clock. wipers. etc (needs a new headlight though).
Runs & drives strong - squawks the tires shifting into 2 nd if you stand on the gas and has a nice thumpy cam sound to it.
I did these upgrades so I could drive the car reliably (only put about a thousand miles on it since completion though).
I have the old manifolds. carb. etc that will come with the car.
Easily the best in 71 GTO in Texas - probably top 10 in the USA.
A little time & elbow grease would make this a show car (the engine looks like a piece of jewelry!).
Good luck.
