1985 Classic Motor Carriage Tiffany Classic Coupe- NEO-Classic / Zimmer for sale
Current customer rating:
A customer that we have sold some Corvettes to showed me a picture of this car on his phone.
I knew it was a Zimmer or Tiffany at a quick glance.
I determined it to be a Tiffany Classic after i noticed the rear windows and about five minutes onthe internet making sure.
He explained to me that the car belonged to the husband of the care giver of his mom and that the gentleman passed away a year or so ago.
She had asked if he knew anyone who might be interested in this and many other cars he had at their home.
He had all types of cars new and old that he drove and maintained. (He was also the 2 nd owner of this car) I gave her very fair money for the car and brought it to Charleston to bring it back to life.
Car ran perfect. In fact I drove it 2 hours to Charleston right out of the garage.
Since we purchased the car we had all new tires installed. New front springs to make the car sit correctly. New brake pads/shoes. rebuilt the wheel bearing. ew struts and shocks. vacuum down and recharged the air conditioning. flushed the coolant. changed the oil. eplaced all light bulbs and tailights and new sway bar links and gave it two new quiet mufflers (the others were originals) Some of these items didn't have to be done but since we were there and parts are rather inexpensive we just did it. I believe when someone buys something like this they want to drive it right away.
Not spend more money and time at a pep boys sorting things out !
The body of this car is near perfect and there are not any signs of stress cracks any where.
The car seems to have been repainted some years back and it was a very nice job all the way around and the vehicle was taken apart to be painted.
The under carriage is in great condition. No rust anywhere and average weathering underneath. The interior is pretty much like new with nothing missing and the dash in perfect shape.
Carpets and seats are clean and have a neutral smell throughout.
All of the power options works as they should Even the digital climate control as well as the display on the dash where the instrument cluster reads . The chrome on the entire car is much nicer than average.
A little imperfection on the c pillars where the decorations are but it's very acceptable.
The lights on the rear pillars also light up as they should.
Car cranks on a dime and does not smoke one bit.
I would drive this car wherever without question.
I drove it the first day for two hours before I really serviced it up.
Tiffany's were built in Miami by Classic Motor Carriage until 1994 using a brand new Mercury Cougar as a donor car.
Tiffany's are unique in the fact that quite a few have sunroofs and the spare tires on the fenders are actual spare wheels and tires. I have had both Zimmer's and Tiffany's .
They both seemed to ride the same and both have pro and cons.
For the money a Tiffany is alot of car and wow factor.
The Zimmer is a little more ornate with the same look and a higher price since it has more ornamental items on it. You are also getting more items like vases in the back seat and teak wood here and there.
Both great cars and amazing to look at.
We are a used car dealership in here in Charleston South Carolina and keep mainstream to Exotic vehicles here.
Occasionally I will list one on E bay. My customers are always pleased and do often comment that the item is better than described.
Please feel free to call if you have any questions.
Forgot to take pictures of trunk and under the hood.
The engine compartment is is great shape and is not showing any noticeable leaks . All lines and hose are where they are supposed to be.
Valve covers dont seem to have any issues or leaks either.
Trunk is finished off nicely and all jacks and tools are in there also.
$500. 00 of money received will go towards shipping to customers home.
We ship cars quite often so for quotes just email us your zipcode and we can get estimates.
I also have an international shipper I deal with here in Charleston.
Very simple process.
Thanks for looking Chris 1

PLEASE GO TO SOUTHERNMOTORCOSC. COM FOR ADDITIONAL PICTURES.
By the end of Feb 3 i will have the vehicle posted on my website with many more photos. . As long as vehicle is on Ebay it is not for sale locally.
If you live nearby you are more than welcome to come by to see and inspect the vehicle.
I won't sell while vehicle is on Ebay because I am tired of putting effort into searching for an item and doing research about value and dealing with seller on extra pics and such. To look up an hour later and see vehicle ended and when you call or email. they sold outside of auction or to a neighbor.
Its an auction. and I will treat it as such.
Please call or email if you have any questions.
Thanks Chris.

Would you possible have the VIN number for this car? We want to preserve the car's history since it's manufacturer is long gone. Thank you Craig Smythe
