This is an original Right Hand Drive car which can be imported into the UK without any Adjustment whatsoever. The car has a UK registration number (G-plate) so it will need re-registering.


Please note that receipts are available for all work carried out. The below is presented as an overview of what has been done to the vehicle since the beginning of my ownership.


Reverse sensor replaced (2009)

Brake light sensor replaced (2009)

Drivers and passengers side window lift motors replaced (2009)

Remote central locking system installed (2009)

Full re-spray carried out in 2009. absolutely immaculate color of ALPINA white. code 300. Respray was carried out by local paint-shop which specializes in Ferrari/ Lamborghini/ Lotus. Cost 3500 Euro. All surrounding rubber has been replaced on the car during the re-spray. Before the re-spay the car was totally stripped down (doors/ bonnet/ boot/ headlight pods/ wheels etc. etc. etc. ). therefore the result is amazing.

Interior roof lining replaced with black leather (2009)

New carpets installed (2009)

Momo steering wheel installed (2009)

Momo gear knob installed (2009)

New 18 inch original LOTUS AWI monoblock alloys installed. Suspension tuned and wheels re-aligned upon installation of new alloys. Original alloys (16 rear and 15 front) are in immaculate condition and available. (2009)

New adjustable suspension set up all around (2009)

New temperature sensor installed (2009)

Radiator fans have been re-manufactured and re-painted (2009)

Radiator fan mounting plate has been replaced with stainless steel item (2009)

New air-con pump installed. We decided to use a micron Denso Sard compressor which does not affect the cars performance at all. furthermore the new compressor vastly out performs the original factory one which was completely useless at 45 degrees in Cyprus (2010).

New windshield installed (2010)

New engine lid mounting screws installed (2010)

New gearbox surround-lid white retainers installed as the originals where badly cracked and somewhere missing (2010)

Engine stripped down and rebuilt. using upgraded materials. valves. guides and shims re-adjusted. head ported and polished. Work carried out by Lotus master technician. Heads where re-painted to RED collour during the process. exhaust manifold removed and re-painted black. all exhaust and engine screws/ retainers replaced with new items during rebuild. (2010)

New cambelt installed (2010)

New water pump (2010)

New engine and gear box mounts (2010)

New ball joints (2010)

New water hoses (2010)

New aluminum water expansion tank (2011)

Rear brake discs where warped and have now been re-machined to perfection.

All belts replaced. including timing belts (2010)

Lower air inlets have been covered in see through stickers to avid stone chips to the body work. this is an area which is close to the ground and suffers from stone chips extensively (2010)

Thermal tree replaced (2012)

Reverse gear selector replaced (2012)

Clutch slave cylinder replaced (2011)

Clutch master cylinder replaced (2011)

Clutch red hose conversion carried out. so no more sticky reverse issues when the engine is up to full operating temperature. Also gear work much smoother. (2011)

Red-Line oil flown in from the USA and put into the gearbox. massive difference in gear changes. (2010)

New ball joints in front. (2010)

New brake pads all around (2010)

New alloy wheel centre caps flown in and installed(2011)

All water hoses replaced with new items (2011)

High performance aero grade stainless steel exhaust hand made by Ferrari specialist on the island. the sound and performance difference is in one word AMAZING!!! The development process took over three months and 3 exhaust systems where binned before this one was finally developed. (2012)

New exhaust olives (connectors) installed (2012)

New K&N performance air filter installed. (2012)

Air flow has been re-routed from behind the boot rear wheel-well to directly from behind the driver's side rear window. this has resulted in a much nicer sound and slight performance increase as the engine now breaths cold air instead of the hot air from the boot (2012)

Carbs disassembled and completely rebuilt. new floaters installed. Carbs have been retuned using vacuum gauges. Process has taken nearly two working days. (2011)

New hand-made fuel pipes manufactured and –installed. every single component in the fuel system has been rebuilt by Lotus master technicians. (2012)

All air-con hoses and connectors have been replaced with NEW items. (2012)

New air-con radiator installed. works much better now. (2012)

Brand new water radiator has been hand made on the island and installed. the new radiator is a dual core radiator which helps the engine run at about 5 degrees lower operating temperature. (2012)

Driver's side seat leather repaired with new parts. (2011)

Complete passengers side window surround frame flown in and installed. the original item was beginning to rust and I couldn't justify a cheap temporary repair. (2012)

Both driver's side and passenger side doors have been re-aligned so open and close perfectly now (July 2012).

Engine bay gas struts replaced. (2009)

New front and rear tyres (April 2013)

Engine bay tidied up and cleaned. one tired looking area on the bulkhead has been repainted (July 2012)

New interior light bulb replaced (2012)

Leaking window spray water bottle repaired (2012)

Left and right side headlight lift motors overhauled (2013)

Broken Speedometer removed and re-manufactured (June 2013)

Sunroof retaining bolts re-adjusted and re-fitted (June 2013)

Engine oil and filter replaced twice a year. the oil that I prefer to use in these high temperatures here on the island is Valvoline 10W60 fully synthetic motor oil. This oil is race proven and by far superior to Castrol 10W60 which I used in the car previously.

Full CAMBELT service carried out including Oil. Filter. etc. etc (December 2013)

New stainless steel downpipes fitted. Custom made with enhanced gas flow.


Please do not be frightened by the amount of work that has been carried out on the Lotus. most of the work was pre-emptive as I have attempted to fix all possible problems before they physically manifested themselves. My primary goal and aim was to build a MUSEUM quality IMMACULATE Esprit which was capable of being used on a daily bases. Most people feel that such an Esprit does not exist. however. I have proved them wrong as the car has now become what I describe as BULLETPROOF in terms of reliability.


I am an academic by profession and therefore have a meticulous eye for detail. the car is treated to professional level detailing twice a year by myself ONLY (I was a Jaguar factory trained detailer during my student days). The car takes me 2 days to detail and I only use Autoglym products throughout.


The car is kept in a garage and used as much as possible as my fourth car. the Lotus is washed once every two weeks using a process that eliminates almost all physical contact with the car (thus eliminating scratches and swirl-marks).


I have done my best to describe the work carried out on the car. I am sure though that I have done more that I just cannot remember.

Finally. nbsp;the only form of payment that I am accepting is direct bank transfer. the car will not be handed over to it's new owner unless the funds clear in my bank account.
