1964 Ford Fairlane 500 Sports Coupe. Completely original. rust free. unmolested 52 year old beauty. Only 40. 00 miles which looking at the car and the paperwork could be its original mileage. I have a little history. Was built in San Jose. California. Spent some time in Florida. and then Boston. Mass. Imported to the UK in 1991 alongside a Ford Falcon. I have all the MOTs up to 2002 when it was obviously put in storage. Has had a respray. and checking an old newspaper I found stuffed under the parcel shelf was done in 1993. As i say totally original apart from a flexifan. speakers in the door panels. and a stainless steel dual exhaust system which sounds lovely. It has drum brakes all round. no servo. The brakes work brilliant though. 12v electrical system with a generator/dynamo looking after the charging system. everything works. original radio. fan. heater. dash lights. dome light. all gauges. spare wheel. and jack. and it drives amazingly well for an old Ford. Having the 289 V8 Commando engine it will surprise some when you hit the gas pedal. Cruise a Matic Auto with Overdrive all works as it should. It has not been undersealed. I do have photos of underneath on request. Its a rare model in the USA. in this condition very rare in the UK. MOT until April next year. Free road tax. comes with original handbook. Sales brochure. 2 sets of keys. and a made to measure waterproof car cover. Please remember this is a 52 year old classic. there are a few blemishes here and there. With a mild restoration this car would be like a brand new.
