Seven Hills Motorcars is very proud to offer this numbers matching

gorgeous 1978 Trans Am in excellent fully restored award winning

condition and priced to sell. This Trans Am is a first place class

winner at the 2012 Trans Am Nationals. Winners Circle participant at

the 2013 TA Nationals. and a 3 rd place class winner at the 2011 TA

Nationals. This Trans Am has also won over 100 regional and local

trophies over the last 4 years. This numbers matching Trans Am with

a YA stamping correct for an L 78 400 ci and the last six digits of

the VIN. 189503. pictured below and also stamped on the block

indicting this is the original engine. The car is fully restored

including a nearly flawless professional repaint. a fully rebuilt

drive train. and a fully restored interior. This TA is extremely

clean and has been correctly restored over the last 7 years.

Countless hours and resources have gone into the restoration and the

numerous accolades earned are a great testament to the level and

quality of the restoration. This Trans Am is finished in the

beautiful and desirable color combinations of Chesterfield Brown

over Camel Tan cloth deluxe interior and is the correct factory

color scheme as verified on the trim tag. pictured below. as well as

the two original build sheets and PHS documents. This Trans Am looks

incredible. runs awesome. and is a blast to drive. This is an

excellent opportunity to own a classic TA that is ready to be used.

and enjoyed at an unbeatable value. I wouldn't hesitate to hop in

this car and take a long road trip. One could easily buy this car

now and sell it for more than the purchase price in years to come.

The two original build sheets are pictured below with all ordered

factory options. also included is the PHS documents and window

Exterior

The

Chesterfield Brown exterior is in award winning excellent

condition. This Trans Am was professionally painted about 6

years and new quarter panels and inner wheel wells were

installed at that time. There is no rust on this car and the

body is extremely strait and the gaps are excellent and the

decals look brand new. This TA is always garaged and sleeps

under a cloth car cover. As one can see in the photos. the paint

has an amazing gloss. incredible shine. and smooth finish. We

have taken specific photos of the quarters. rockers. underside.

and other areas most prone to rust to show

how amazingly clean this car is. Often times Trans Am's will

have particularly chipped up front ends. this car does not. The

BF Goodrich tires are literally brand new with less than 1000

miles on them sized 255/60/15. The reconditioned

original 15"x 8" snowflake wheels are in excellent shape with

a beautiful finish. new center caps and lug nuts. and absolutely

no curb rash. All of

the weather stripping and window sweeps are in great condition.

although there is a little separation on the drivers side t-top

seal above the visor. which is visible in the photos below. The

trunk is

immaculate and very correct and clean with a new trunk mat. and

is freshly painted. Space saver spare tire. jack. base plate.

inflator bottle. and lug wrench are all in their correct factory

placements.

Window Date Codes

Windshield: "UJ" - "U" denotes July and "J" denotes 1978

meaning the windshield was made in July of 1978.

Driver: "IJ" - "I" denotes June and "J" denotes 1978

meaning the driver's side window was made in June of

1978.

Passenger: "UJ" - "U" denotes July and "J"

denotes 1978 meaning the passenger's side window was

made in July of 1978. .

Rear: "JJ" - "J" denotes

May and "J" denotes 1978 meaning the rear window was

made in May of 1978.

Driver T top: "VG"- "V"

denotes December and "G" denotes 1977 meaning the driver

t top was made in December of 1977.

Passenger T

top: "JJ" - "J" denotes May and "J" denotes 1978 meaning

the passenger t top was made in May of 1978.

Please note that all the glass

on this car. even both t-tops. is date coded and original as each piece

predates the car's body build date of the third week of

July. 1978 (07 C). Original glass is a good indication

that this car has had no major accident history

and never sustained significant damage.

The Trans Am looks just as good in person as it does in

the photos.

Interior

The camel tan deluxe interior of

this Trans Am looks terrific. The seat covers were

professionally sewn together with factory type Lombardy

cloth and new foam seat material installed. they are not

cheap aftermarket replacements. The seat covers are in like

new condition with no rips. stains. or excessive wear. The

carpet is newly replaced as well and is in excellent

condition with no major stains. rips. or holes. The original

dash is in great condition with no cracks. fading. or sun

damage and has never been cut on for a replacement stereo.

The stereo has been upgraded to a modern 2 prong aftermarket

head unit with mp 3 hook ups with new 6 x 9 speakers powered by

a hidden 100 watt amp. which is installed behind the head

unit. The dash bezel has been professionally revamped and

sanded down to bare material with new factory type engine

turned swirls reapplied. it looks stunning. The center

console and shifter plate are new as well and both are in

excellent condition. All of the interior lights and gauges work as

they should and are very accurate. outside of the clock. The

door panels are newly replaced and are in great condition

with no cracks or splits. and both door pulls are solid and

in tact. and both window cranks have been replaced. The

headliner has recently been recovered and is in great

condition with no sagging. stains. or excessive wear. The

rear package tray has also been newly replaced and shows no

signs of wear. warping or fading. All interior plastics are

in great shape they were removed and redyed to the

factory correct camel tan color. The sill plates have been

recently replaced as well. The fan motor is currently not

working and is believed to be a ground issue. The car was

only driven in nice weather so it was never an issue. This car has not been smoked in there are no burn marks

and no smoke aroma what so ever.

The interior looks just as good in person as it does in the

photos.

Mechanical

This Trans Am is

in excellent fully restored mechanical condition with

approximately 9. 00 miles on the completely rebuilt drivetrain. The

original engine was pulled and rebuilt about 4 years ago with

some mild performance upgrades. The car drives like it has close

to 350 HP. but still runs just fine on 87 octane gas. It was

bored . 30 over and new Keith Black pistons were installed along

with 1. 52 ratio roller rockers. new Edelbrock performer intake.

new hei distributor. new ceramic coated headers. new Lunati Voo Doo

Cam (cam card included) and lifters. new wires. new fuel

pump. new battery. etc. etc. The original carb. was also

completely rebuilt for the current set up. The original transmission

was also pulled and completely rebuilt with mild shift kit and

shifts perfectly. The rear end was also completely restored and

upgraded to a 3. 42 rear gear from a low mile grand national the

speedo was adjusted to read properly. A complete new exhaust

system was installed as well with 2. 5" pipes and new Flowmaster

40 mufflers with new TA exhaust tips. the exhaust tone is simply

amazing. New rear leaf springs were recently professionally

installed and the ride is incredible. All new shocks were also

installed. Receipts for the work completed on this car is

included in a three ring binder and totals well over $10. 00.

This TA is an excellent driver that feels great on the road and

at highway speeds. There is no smoke when starting or driving the car. It

starts right away every time. idles perfectly. and runs

incredible. This car runs very strong. but never raced it

or run at the strip though it will easily pin you back in the seat during

acceleration.

All new brake lines. brake booster. and master cylinder were

installed two years ago so the brakes are very responsive and do

not pull to one side or the other. All hoses. hose clamps.

vacuum hoses. spark plug wires. coolant jug. wiper jug. battery.

and alternator were all recently replaced and it shows. Also. the

engine is extremely clean and highly detailed as one can see

from the photos and video. I have spent a tremendous amount of

time and resources getting the engine bay to this level and

maintaining it. Its one of the main reasons the car does so well

when being shown at car shows. Although the engine and drive

line have been enhanced this TA still retains its stock

appearance. The engine was recently pulled again just to repaint the

block in the correct 1978 GM blue shade. The horn works as do

all the interior and exterior lights. gauges. and wipers. As one

can notice in the photos the headlights were working. however

the low beams just stopped so now just the highs work. All of mechanical work performed on this TA was completed

by professionals and my personal mechanic who is a long time

high school friend. This TA has lots of power being

fully rebuilt and handles amazingly. Not enough can be said as

to how much of a pleasure it is to drive this car. especially on

a beautiful day with the t tops removed. We also have correct color

touch up paint for exterior. engine and the gold in the wheels

that go with the car.

Overall

Condition

Overall. this 1978 Trans Am is in

award winning excellent condition and needs virtually

nothing. There is no way anyone could reproduce this car

with the high quality of work for anything near our

asking price. The rare and sought-after options. great color

combination. documentation. awards won. and the

absolutely stunning fully restored condition make this

Trans Am

particularly desirable and difficult to duplicate. It is a great value and we have

it priced to sell. This car turns heads and gets tons of

attention wherever it goes. The value of these cars has

gone up exponentially in recent years. They are all

solid investments for a collector or the average

enthusiast. Cars like this are the Barrett Jackson and

Mecum stars of the future. One could easily enjoy this

vehicle for several years and sell it for more than the

purchase price with minimal effort.
