1967 Triumph TR4A - Signal Red With Black Interior - Surrey Top - Overdrive for sale

1967 Triumph TR 4 A
This late TR 4 A (registered November '67) is finished in the classic colour combination of Signal Red with a black interior. It has overdrive. wire wheels and a very desirable original Surrey top.
This is an older restoration. but one that still looks very smart. making it an ideal TR for regular use.
In 1995 the body was treated to a substantial refurbishment including four new wings sills and floorpans. along with a bare metal repaint. We have a photographic record of that restoration work and since then the car has been garaged and covered less than 3000 miles.
In 1990 the engine was fully rebuilt with new pistons and liners. and a reconditioned cylinder head. As proven by the Mo T certificates. less than 10. 00 miles have been covered since then so it's no surprise that the engine is in great condition quiet. smoke-free and with excellent oil pressure.
More recently this TR has been treated to an electric fan conversion. a front suspension rebuilt. new front brake calipers and discs. While the engine has been fitted with an oil cooler. electronic ignition and tubular manifold and full stainless steel sports exhaust system.
The interior is lovely. benefitting from a Moto Lita steering wheel. a burr walnut dashboard and seats retrimmed in the original vinyl.
There is a substantial history file with the car with all major bills going back to 1990.
We have just driven this car back from the Scottish Highlands and it didn't missing a beat. Everything works as it should. including the overdrive. and it drives beautifully.
A very usable TR 4 A that's ready for the summer.
