1930 Morris Cowley 4 door Saloon for sale
Current customer rating:
A sweet little vintage saloon. in sound condition. and cosmetically just right to use and enjoy. The body is in pleasantly faded dark blue paint. with black wings. and the interior has been nicely re-trimmed in appropriate dark blue leathercloth. The car runs well. drives nicely. and would make a fun runabout. Mo T tested until January 2015.
Chassis No. 340837.
Reg No. MU 1838.
£11. 00.
Snippets:
In the 1970 s the Flatnose was with F. Lythoe of Park Farm. Lymm a farmer & engineer who between 1929 & 1960 had several patents approved - “Apparatus for issuing tickets” and “Material handling devices” namely Hoppers which can transfer material from a lorry into another receiver.
His co-assignees in 1929 were G. W Cussons. E. H. Edwardes & J. Alldred the 1960 patent was jointly with M. F. Freeman who had his own invention of lamp reflectors.
In the late 1970 s the Morris Cowly was with A. K. Sharratt a resident in the unusually named village of “Boothstown” which is not named as you expect after a family called Booths but derived from the word “Booth” which is a temporary hut or shed used by herdsmen when they were living with the herds.
