This is 1 of only 687 455 Stage One automatic cars built in 1971. Yes. it's a REAL Stage One.   Please read entire description before asking questions. I have owned this car for a while now and have been restoring it but with a baby on the way it needs to go. Its also a VERY early built car. Possibly the 1st one off the line in '71. Clearly built in the 1st week of production. It is not in the Stage One registry  but if it were it would be the earliest VIN registered. I will only reveal the full VIN# to the buyer so dont ask. Its originally Cortez gold (top and bottom) with saddle bucket seat interior. AC. PS. PDB and 10 bolt rear. The body on the car is rock solid. I DA'd the entire body to remove all the oxidation and sprayed it with a tinted sealer to protect it while I worked on it. I cleaned the floors and trunk thoroughly before sealing them both with PPG DP90 epoxy primer. I also replaced the drivers front floor pan. I butt welded it and ground the welds down flush and skimmed a little bondo so its very hard to tell its been done.   I then painted the floor pans with the correct Cortez gold and the trunk with the GM spatter paint. There is a small amount of bondo in the lower pass side fender and a little down low on each qtr. It was done right long before I got the car and shows no signs of any bubbling underneath. The entire body is ready for blocking and paint. The doors. hood. trunk lid. firewall and roof are very nice. Both front and rear glass will need to be pulled out and have the channels cleaned out and a very small amount of body work done on channels. All glass is good except front windshield has a crack. The interior is all brand new Legendary including front and rear door panels. The carpet is new as well. It still needs a dash pad. front arm rests and headliner. The only chrome trim I don't have is for the roof rail weather stripping. The engine is a complete '72 SF coded (370hp) 455. This is pretty much same engine as the '71 “TS” Stage One engine that this car should have with the only real diff being the bigger valves on the Stage One version of the same head and bigger cam. The trans is the original “OW” Turbo 400 with matching VIN stamp on the case. The VIN stamp on trans case MATCHES DASH VIN AND TITLE. This is only way to confirm a real Stage One car for 1971 model yr when the orig engine is gone and there is no other docs or history.   The only cars to get the “OW” were the Stage Ones. Both engine and trans will need complete overhauls. The car DOES NOT RUN.   I only set eng/trans in body to make it easier for buyer to move. The engine is not bolted in and the motor mounts are not installed but I do have them. The bumpers are nice with good chrome and the rocker mouldings are real nice with only a few very minor dings. I also have the original wiper mtr. drive shaft. AC condenser. fan shroud. jack. washer bottle. alternator. front of hood chrome. a complete set of nice wheel opening mouldings. rear view and both side view mirrors and an eng rebuild gasket kit.  Wheels are orig 15x7 Buick and tires are in decent shape.  There are a few other parts I don't have like. side markers and ac components. ect. If its not mentioned in this ad or pictured assume I don't have it. The carb on the car is a q-jet #                    . I also have a 800 cfm '71 GS 455 buick Q-jet#  7041540 that is included with this auction.
