Dodge Challenger for sale
Current customer rating:
Offered is a 74 Dodge Challenger. This is the last of the model years on the original body style by Chrysler.
This is a restored car. excellent driver. not show condition - but close.
Engine is the original 318. rebuilt . 030 over with new cam. lifters. springs. etc.
Runs better than any 340/360 you will find. anywhere.
Has a new edelbrock 1406 4 bbl carb. new regulator. new battery. fuel pump. brakes. etc. . etc. Transmission is a heavy duty 727 (original). runs perfect.
Rear end is an 8 3/4 (489) with 3. 23 ring/pinion.
Wheels are brand new American Racing Torq D with new white letter tires (215 R 70 14) of the original size. Pic shows older set of magnum 500 wheels. not the new ones. Shocks are new. Also has rear wing and rear window louvers.
Vinyl roof is factory NOS.
Interior is totally redone (Legendary Interiors). white seats & headliner & door panels with black carpet and side trim pieces - it was called the tuxedo interior.
Dash has factory correct am/fm radio which was sent in for a rebuild.
Instrument cluster all works and has the wood grain trim on it(factory type). This is not an original a/c car. but has a Vintage A/C (best you can buy) unit and works great - needs charge right now.
It is engineered in to look original and actually works better than most factory types.
Everything works.
Exterior was originally a burgundy color - is now the famous Panther Pink. which always looked great on this body style.
Hood and left front fender have two small ripples.
Trunk lid needs replaced at some point - have NEW trunk lid to go with the car.
The trunk pan has two small rust spots dime sized. have NEW trunks pans to go with the car. Otherwise the car has NO rust. was originally undercoated at factory.
Car has roughly 158 K miles.
It has power steering but manual disc brakes. rebuilt few years ago.
According to several listings this car is worth somewhere between $28 K and $32 K. as an original. so figure the upgrades and updates.
Could drive it most anywhere. anytime.
Not in hurry to sell. so please do not offer some stupid low ball number.
trade might be considered. Mopar preferred.
Can be seen by appointment only. arrangements can be made. Paint job and interior was done 6 years ago.
bought car with 150252 miles. engine rebuilt in March 2008 - so has just over 8 K miles on it.
