I cannot express how good this van is both inside and out.

The Bad:

You'll find 2 images of the bodywork that show the areas of any concern. The first is the drivers side sill. This area needs treatment and would be my focus this year if I was keeping the van. The other 2 are images of the front door steps that I treated 2 years ago. I ground the rust off and treated them with a product called Rust Bullet ( rustbullet. com/).

There has been no trouble with either step since this was done.

Not long after I first bought the van and before I had secured a garage to keep it in someone vandalised it. smashing a window and damaging the door. The insurance paid me to fix it myself. I knew a guy who knew a guy and he sprayed it. but the colour match isn't great.

The van is 22 years old and it could really do with a full respray the carpets have faded in places the interior lining has discoloured over the years the central locking system doesn't work.

The Good:

This van is in amazing condition for 22 years old. You can see from the photos of the underneath. wheel arches etc. that deep down this van is very tidy.

94 K miles on the 1. 9 GL water cooled boxer engine which has been rock solid and a pleasure to drive.

5 speed gearbox.

VW Speed Shop stainless steel exhaust system ( vwspeedshop. com/product. php?productid=16733&cat=476&page=1).

12 months MOT from 13 th April.

6 months tax up to 30 th September.

2 original keys that fit all of the locks.

MOTs dating back to 2005.

It has straight passed the last 2 MOTs without advisories.
