Here we have a 1970 Kaiser Jeep CJ 5 for sale. It was bought new here in East TN and has resided here it's entire life. If you are cleaning for CJ 5 that's clean as a pin and true to its original style you won't want to miss this one! In the paragraphs to follow we will give a brief description of the exterior, interior, and driveline of this Jeep but first we would like to tell you a little about us.Smoky Mountain Traders is a classic car dealer in east Tennessee. or visit our Smoky Mountain Traders website. We will start off with the exterior of this '70. When you walk around it, you're sure to be impressed as the body is all rock solid. Every piece of metal looks amazing and it's clear that it was never abused or mistreated. It's been repainted in base coat clear coat, and they did it in the factory color of Spring Green. We can see that it was wet sanded, buffed, and polished to a gorgeous finish that's slick to the touch.

A new Bestop top was purchased and installed and the framing for the top is some of the best you will see. The Spring Green is also accented by the Black Stripes on the hood and cab. The rear tailgate is in phenomenal condition as well along with both the front and rear bumpers.

To finish off the look it's sitting on the 15" Wheels that are painted white and have Firestone Destination AT Tires. Next, we will look at the interior of this CJ 5. On the inside it's accented by the black that flows perfectly with the exterior color combo. It has had new bucket seats installed. We can see the windshield frame is like new along with the roll bar. You'll also notice a new windshield was installed along with new rubber. Looking at the dash we can see that it's in excellent condition along with the factory gauge and heater controls. The original steering column and shifters are also in phenomenal condition. Looking at the rear pan we can see it's all solid as well and all the inside of the body is amazing also. Finally, we will get to the driveline of this Kaiser Jeep. Under the hood was kept as close to original as possible. It's powered by the Dauntless 225 V 6 engine developed by Buick. This was an upgraded option over the 4 Cylinder and was widely loved. It's dressed like it would have been from the factory with the painted valve covers. It's set up with the 2 Barrel Rochester Carb and factory Air Cleaner with the original Dauntless Call Out. The 225 Runs through the 3 Speed Manual Transmission and 4 X 4 Transfer Case. Out back it has the Dana 44 with 3.73 Gears. For brakes it has drums all the way around. All the suspension and steering components are in great condition. It features leaf spring suspension and new shocks were installed. For exhaust it has manifolds with new single pipe and muffler. Underneath this CJ is all solid as the frame and floors pans are in excellent condition. It's clear that it has remained in the south it's entire life. The remainder is due within 5 days of auction end. If no contact is made within 24 hours we reserve the right to re-list the vehicle, sell it to the next high bidder, or sell it otherwise. Most banks and credit unions do not finance vehicles older than 1995 or with more than 100 K miles. Make sure if financing that your financial institution accepts the year and miles of this vehicle before bidding. Please arrange financing prior to bidding.
