PLEASE READ BEFORE ASKING QUESTONS or BIDDING:

Up for Auction is my 1972 AMC Javelin SST. ith the factory original #s matching 401 ci. V8. I bought this in 1999 with the intentions of doing a complete restoation. it is a solid rust free Ca. car with a clean title. No expense was spared in preparing the body. the running gear was pulled and the engine compartment was cleaned and prepped  for paint as well. It is very straight and perfectly aligned. Currently in a PCL primer it will need to be re preped before painting due to being stored the last 4 yrs. hence. here is some primer blistering .

I have an original factory fiberglass high rise hood that is in need of gelcoat but is structurally sound. and a factory rear trunk spoiler that is included in the sale. The original color is Admiralty Blue Metalic. but you can decide what color suits your taste. I have collected additional front '71 grill with turn signals if you choose to run the front spoiler. (as the original front apron with signals is not used with the front spoiler option. ) This body is as perfect as it gets and you would be hard pressed to find a straighter one without rust. the quarterpanels have never been hit. the trunk area is not rusted. the roof. running boards. and floors are solid as are the fenders and original hood.

Drivetrain - 401ci. motor with approximately 124. 00 original miles. I drove the car to my body shop guy and it was pulled before the bodywork was started. It will need to be gone through as this was my intention. Motor was pulled complete with factory A/C. Power Steering. Alt. and Fan - see photos. Orig. Motorcraft 4 barrel carb will need rebuilding. New Radiator. nbsp;Transmission was rebuilt back in 2001 by a local shop no longer in business. it is the original 727 Torque Flight A/T and I had them install a B&M shift kit with a 2800 stall torque converter. it has less than 5K miles on it. the driveshaft was also serviced and rebalanced but it will need new U joints due to sitting. Tires are 235-60-14 BF Goodridge T/A Radials and have less than 5K miles on them. nbsp; The rear end is stock and has not been touched. no leaks or damage and turns nicely with little axle play.

Suspension/Brakes- Stock I installed a new idler arm and also have a new pitman arm . I believe I also replaced the tie rod ends when I first got the car. I will verify and update the listing. I replace front and rear shocks. coils and springs are original. Front and rear brakes are original and calipers are free but will need new pads and front rotors as I had inspected them before storing the car. It will need a new master cylinder and brake booster installed. I have the original but it is in poor condition

Interior- has the SST package. Blue interior. with original velour seats in need of upholstery. needs new vinyl headliner and carpet. The seat backs. oor panels. kick panels inner quarter and sail panels are good no cracks. but with the usual oxidation and scratches. overall the plastics have held up well considering its age. Now for the best part. the dash has the sought after factory aluminum spun plates on the door panels and guage face. has the Tic-Tock- Tach. I had the odometer rebuilt. all the switches and interior lights work. however I had started to restore the dash and currently it is completely disassembled and will need to be put back together. The car has a brand new front windshied installed. and all glass is intact

There are lots of extra parts included that are included. a rare rear window defroster. sport steering wheels. remote driver and passenger sport bullit mirrors and other items I collected. including the clutch foot pedal assembly to make it a 4 speed car. I've tried to be as complete about the car as possible. I will add more if there is anything I've forgotten.  If you have any further questions please ask before bidding The car has a CLEAN CA. Title in my name and is currently non-op. The car is not in drivable condition. and will require a trailer or flatbed tow. I will assist the winning bidder in arranging pick up of the vehicle. All Shipping is at buyers expennse. I can discuss delivery locally up to 200 miles at an additional cost. Car is for sale locally and can be seen by appointment only
