I am selling my replica Lamborghini Countach. The last owner registered it as a 1989 (it remains registered in my name as a 1989 assembled vehicle) but it appears to actually be the replica of a 1985.  I listed it as a 1980 in order to bypass Ebay's VIN bias (it does not recognized assembled vehicle VINs but makes an exception for cars 1980 or older).  The original odometer read 7199 when I replaced the gauges. The new odometer reads 26 miles (at the time of this listing). This car is built on a tubular frame (no Fiero in this car).  It was built/rebuilt by a builder 3 or 4 years ago (not my guy).  I think you can still see those build photos (a lot of them) at the "rodsbybob" website (click on "Countach").   The car has a modified 350 V-8. I never dynoed it but the previous owner claimed approx. 400 hp.  The engine runs strong.  The car is equipped with a stock Porsche 914 transaxle and shifter.  I had planned to upgrade/replace those because the shifter does not have feel to it and the unmodified transaxle is unsuitable for the torque and horsepower of the engine under hard acceleration or high speeds and first gear is impractical.  The transaxle is ok for cruising but if you want to go fast or put it on the track (which I had hoped to do one day) then you will need to upgrade/replace it and the shifter.  Also when I purchased the car there were problems with the chassis and I didn't fit in the car very well (I am 6ft tall).  So. I put it in a fabrication shop for a year getting the chassis corrected and interior dimensions dealt with.  A master fabricator took out the interior and made modifications to allow me to fit. adjusted the chassis to proper dimensions. replaced the removable firewall. and did other upgrades as he went through the car. During that time I also installed a fire system. five point racing harness. custom Weld Racing wheels. Wilwood Performance brakes (front). Pirelli tires. Autometer ultra-lite gauges. Dynamat sound deadening materials (for the new firewall). a push-button ignition/starter. and a backing camera.  The vehicle has two fuel tanks and subsequently two fuel gauges.  The light on one of the new fuel gauges is not coming on (but it worked during installation) so I think it is a loose wire.  Also we got some scuffs (mostly on the drivers side) in the interior when reinstalling it.  I decided to leave the driver's side carpet out for easier installation and adjustment of both the 5-point harness floor-mount point and the modified driver's seat (with the floor mat in place you can't tell the carpet is out).   The AC is installed and the fan blows but I'm not sure if the heating and cooling work because I never used it (just got the car out of the fabricator last week).  Why am I selling? Turns out that my job is taking me overseas for a few years.  It didn't make sense to stick the car in storage for that long and I can't take it with me.  This car is loud. cramped. and impractical AND I LOVE IT!  She is also beautiful and sexy. but I can't keep her.  Maybe you can.  I will include a custom car cover and extra parts (original gauges etc) in the sale.   Please no trades or low-ball offers (I have plenty of time to sell. I'm not hurting for money. and this car has way more into it than the asking price).  Before you bid or buy please be sure that you can afford it and/or have permission from your significant other to do so.  Be forewarned: if you have never owned a car like this it is not a Corvette or a daily driver.  This car is for the car lover/hobbyist who has the time and means to tinker and modify between cruises.   I have tried to cover everything and be open with you about the car.  Send any additional questions you may have. This car is being sold as is. no warranty.  It is also being advertised locally so I reserve the right to end this sale at any time.
