This 1967 Duetto “boat tail” aka “osso di seppia” was originally sold new in California where it spent most of its life. One of its original CA black plates is included, along with a registration from 1975 showing that the plate was indeed on this car. At some point along the way, the front plate was lost and new plates had to be acquired.
The current owner has had the car since 2015 and has maintained it on a regular basis. The carburetors were rebuilt and tuned in 2018.
Mechanically, this Duetto is in great condition and needs absolutely nothing. The engine is particularly strong and revs freely. Cold start is perfect (see video), and there is no smoke whatsoever even under full throttle acceleration. There is an aftermarket exhaust (maybe Stinger) giving it a sportier exhaust note.
The top is mostly in good condition except for one small tear as shown in the photos. The rear plastic window is also very good and clear.
Cosmetically the paint is in average condition and looks good from 10 feet.
This Duetto is ready to be enjoyed as a daily driver, a weekend canyon carver, or to go on a 1,000 mile road trip without any worries. Mechanically it is very reliable and is ready to be driven immediately.
