1955 Citroen Traction Avant 11B classic car for sale

This car was purchased new from the Citroen factory in Paris on 26 August 1955 (10 years after the liberation of Paris) by a Monsieur Laniel. He moved with his wife to live in the Departement of Touraine. This necessitated a change in the registration number. After he died his wife decided to sell the car and put central heating in her house with the proceeds. We bought it from her on 22 Sept 1981 and brought it back to England. A full description of this purchase and its registration was printed in the Citroenian and a copy of that is included with the papers.
We have owned it continuously since then. It has always been garaged.
It has been back to France a number of times. to Scotland and Holland.
The mileometer (?) shows 50. 00 kms. This is probably the second time round. so in its life it has travelled at least 150. 00 kms.
It won a prize for ‘Most original Car' in Club event 199
A plate showing the name and place of the garage which sold it to M Laniel is still riveted to a rear wing. We have visited the garage with the car in 1984.
Everything stated above is from the previous owner and there is much more history so come and see this very nice old car.
