Current customer rating: (426 votes ) based onHi. Im selling my lovely Daimler V8 250 from 1964. Very rare to find one from that year. Amazing piece of history!
The car is looking and working perfectly. Gearbox and engine in good working order. The car starts every time.
Beautiful body work. as you can see from the pictures. new metallic green paint and clean. shiny chrome. Very solid body in. out and under the car. Orginal chrome. Front and rear bumper and grill are all original. Leather roof in good condition. Looks amazing with the green body and the chrome.
Full leather interior finished in grey. Original seats and armrests in average condition but no rips or holes is simply getting old which doesnt affect useage. Acceptable condition for its age. Astonishing wooding. Clean. shiny. smooth. solid and whats more original. All windows perfectly fine. no cracks or dents. also original.
All electronics are working properly. Dashboard lights and buttons all working (lights. wipers. screenwash)
Beautiful V8 engine with automatic gearbox. Sound to die for. Starts every time. runs and drives very smooth. The car has no power sterring which makes it more enjoyable giving the feeling of cloud ride. All braeks are working great with no faults. The car seats on four new tyres.
One of the wheel cups is slightly rusted but Im giving a new set of four with the car.
V5 and new MOT!!!
The car is fantastic piece of british motoring history. Very classy and to own it gives you one of a kind feeling. Makes a great investment. Make yourself or one of your loved ones pleased in 2014 and for years to come. Be the lucky buyer!
The Daimler Motor Company Limited was set up by H J Lawson in 1896 at Coventry. Lawson bought the name Daimler and the Daimler Motoren Gessellschaft Company from Gottlieb Daimler and F R Simms. The British business of Daimler was started by F R Simms.
1959's Mk2 was the archetypal Jaguar saloon of the Sixties; Daimler's version saw the 2548cc V8 from the SP250 roadster dropped under the bonnet. The two suited each other well with the handsome and refined curvy body complemented by the smooth and sophisticated power source. Arguably. the Daimler was a nicer carto drive than the Jaguar thanks to the engine's light weight and the eight cylinders endowing it with silky flexibility
