1969 Mercury Cougar

Thanks for stopping by to take a look at our very cool 1969 Mercury Cougar. This Cougar is a one owner car that served the family of the original Southern California buyer for many years. Always a local car, she was rarely even out of the State. This Cougar is very original but carries some modern updates as well. Let's check it out !

Rarity

Unmolested muscle cars from 1969 are drying up fast! Often passed down to the kids, they serve as dependable family mascots through generations. Many were raced. Most did not survive. Five decades down the road, finding a solid survivor can be tough. We purchased this Cougar from the original California owners and decided upon a sympathetic restoration. Yes, we did vary from the original color palette.

Also on the rarity scale is the engine in this Cougar. Racers and engine builders will tell you that the 1969 351 Windsor engines had a very high nickel content and super strong webbing among a host of other qualities that make it a favorite for high horsepower builds. To the average classic driver, it means a strong, durable engine with great parts availability.

Finished in Glossy two stage Tuxedo Black. Excellent paint quality. Stacked clear has been hand color sanded to 5000 grit and then polished and ceramic coated. Her tight lines really shine from every angle.
