Resto-Mod - 4 Door Sedan

318 V8 Pushbutton Automatic - Rebuilt 2005

I drive this 80 plus mph all the time. Speedometer (which is VERY cool) works! I would drive this 200 plus miles tomorrow. It is a SIXTY ONE year old vehicle. Heck. The Cuban Missile Crisis was TWO years in the future when this rolled off the line. So, do NOT expect the feel of a 2020 Dodge. However, if you want BIG, Beautiful fins....THIS is your car. Selling ONLY because I will most likely move up to a two door. One that I have yet to find. *Insert sad face. Because if you know anything about these cars, I am a MORON for selling something this great. I took it to the paint shop today to see about getting it red and white. He was blown away by how straight it is. Said, and I quote, I have nothing to do but the minor scratch, sand it up, and paint it. The car is currently in the shop. Why? Because I want as much fixed as I can get done PRIOR to selling. Everything you read below HAS been done except the alternator. My goal is to spend $1,000 and get not only the alternator, but also some of the other things listed in the "negative"

98,5XX Miles

Clean IA Title - Located in Mount Pleasant, Iowa. *There are no mountains, and the jury is still out on whether it is pleasant or not.

4th Owner Car. Owned by an older couple who bought it new. Purchased in early 2000's by a gentleman in Erie, CO who had most of the work done in local shops around Erie and Denver.1960 was the last year that Plymouth put the stabilizer fins on the Fury/Belvedere/Savoy line. (The Fury is the high trim model) First year of the Unibody. The interior is completely redone and looks incredible with the custom sound system that sounds great. It has accent lighting in the trunk and under the seats that run on the door switches. It sounds great with the custom exhaust and the small rake it has makes it look great sitting on the 15" wheels with new tires.

Highlights:

American Racing 15" Wheels

Both rear tires are brand new with less than 100 miles.

8 3/4 Rear end conversion out of a Late 60's full body. Holds 255/60R15 - Fatter than stock tires.

Front Disc Brake Conversion. (That right there is worth at least $2,000)

Custom full exhaust with chrome tips. *(The SOUND that comes out of this car is a low rumble!)

Edelbrock 4 barrel carb with electric choke and Mopar Performance cleaner

Custom Sound System -

-Custom sub-box and amp mounted behind rear seat with rear shelf customized to sub and Infinity speakers

- Box built under dash for additional gauges and Kenwood speakers. Also has lighter/power outlets on both sides of box

-Alpine Head unit in original radio location with Lightning hookup

-Dual tweeters custom installed on top of Dash

Interior is completely redone with "Fury" floor mats

Painted Mid 2000's (7/10 see below)

Dash painted silver

De-badged except the "Fury" Fender emblems

Spare 15" wheel and new tire.

Window tint all around (Scratched a little on driver window)

New fuel pump, fuel tank, fuel sending unit (2021)

Power steering* (In shop currently to stop leak)

Brakes rebuilt mid 2000s

Now the bads:

Some MORON removed the beautiful Fury badges off the rear quarters. If I could track that person down, I would take them back to 1960 and show them why those badges are SO darn gorgeous. I have a line on a set...but that will NOT be included in the sale.

-Previous owner REMOVED the heater core! Understand this. No Heater core or environmental system installed. All the parts for the dash switches are included in the sale. You will most likely not drive this in the Winter anyway, but it is very important to understand this section.

-Transmission pan and shift cable leak Trans fluid. (Couple oz. per drive.) Leaks while running and some residual during cool down.

This is a $270 cable that I have tracked down. I have not put transmission fluid in since I owned it, so I do not think it is that bad.

-Runs rich on startup. Suspecting the electric choke needs adjustment.

-Driveshaft boot separated

-Previous owner thought the paint was 7/10. I disagree. If you are looking at a 4 door Fury, you want a driver. THIS is a driver with a 20 foot paint job.

-Top of front left fender has some chips and one spot where there is some bubbling

-Its not show quality but does look pretty darn good in general

- Car is currently in the shop to get a brand new alternator installed. Current generator is putting out 16 plus amps and the radio cuts out upon high rpm. So, I just decided to take care of it once and for all. *(MY cost. Fixed by the time you buy)

- Wipers are a bit slow. I "might" add this to my list of things being fixed PRIOR to sale.

- Exhaust leak on passenger side header. Missing one header bolt.

-Bottom body trim pieces need some work. Scratches and dings on one side and the other is missing a retainer that was fixed with a screw. Retainer unhooked from passenger front wheel well.

-Rear bumper has scratches and dent on driver side.

-Drivers side "Fury" Emblem is broken and needs fixing or replacing

-Back up lights and running light lenses have cracks.

-Windshield has quarter sized spider crack. Also, minor "scrape" from a lack of being able to find proper blades!
