Triumph Spitfire 4 MK1, (1964), Plus original Engine, Rear diff and Gear box

Yep that's right, she is a MK1 ( 1964 ), a very rare 1st edition. 

I have owned the car for well over 30 years and it has lived in a garage for the entire time I have owned her. Usually being pushed out each year for her annual clean and check over, start-up and move up and down the drive. Every now and then I would do something like new brake slave cylinders or brake pipes or water hoses etc, just tinkering. She has not been driven on the road for around 25 years, well since having children that is.

OK, what is it for those who know, they will be looking at the engine bay and say O' NO , that's not original, but hold on.

I fitted but only after a complete engine rebuild a 1500 engine, Overdrive Gear Box and the associated Rear Diff to match, so she runs smooth and easy without revving her ass off at 50 MPH. The cylinder head was not modified at the time to lead free as it did not exist back then, so an additive is required.

I am also letting go with the sale the original Complete 1147 Engine which turns over easily by hand, two 4 Speed Gearbox's and the matching Rear Diff, all in good working order so she can be put back to original by any purist who might dislike the changes that I made years ago.

Being critical:

She does have a few scratches here and there and a little rush showing in some places. The hood does have a small whole in the rear clear plastic pain but all in all for her age she is in good condition. I guess I would say that she is not perfect but then again, she is older than I am .. J, just.

I am sure those that have read thus far are wondering why I am selling such a collector's car, well it's time for me to fly to warmer climates and retire to Spain and I really don't want to see her go but I don't see myself taking her with me, so very reluctant sale, my wife is overjoyed.

You can arrange for your own trailer collection else I also do have a small car trailer so would be willing to deliver for £2 / mile but within a max of 100 mile radius from Swindon. I would strongly suggest coming to see her first before buying, this can be arranged upon appointment.
