I'm leaning heavily toward local pickup only but am willing to work with your carrier if you can find one who doesn't use a semi for pickup as I'm unwilling to move it from my shop and I know that a semi can't make it down my street.

This is a 1967 Triumph TR 4 A restoration project that I purchased in parts in February 2020 in what became last winters pandemic project. Since then, I've dived deep into Italian Cars and won't be finding the time to give.

One thing I've learned is that restoration is a labor of love and I don't love this car or look forward to driving it one day so I thought I'd pass that pleasure on to someone else. I was also at a fork in the road on reassembling it into a “beater” or taking the time, energy and money todo a full restoration.

The car is a 99% Rust free New Mexico car first registered in NM in 1967. The only rust on the car is a few pinholes near the driver side floor pans way up near the firewall and are only visible with a flashlight held behind them. There is evidence that one of the fenders was repaired for a small hole in the corner and the “repair” included a piece of NM license plate(picture included).

The car was disassembled by the last owner. After he realized he wasn't making progress I bought it. It appears to be complete except for a missing rear differential housing. He claimed that he sent it out to be restored and the shop “lost” it. I've seen that the TR 5 and TR 6 diffs work but it's a large item to ship. It does have axles, driveshafts and the rest of the drivetrain.

Parts wise, I've laid everything out, made a list of stuff needed to get it back on 4 wheels and bought that stuff. Convertible top is in good usable condition but would have to be assessed for a fully restored car. A disassembled car tends to lose fasteners and minor items and that's the case here. I purchased a complete parts diagram and ordered parts as I needed them for the progress I've made.

If I had a rusty but pretty TR 4 A or one with a bad title, I'd transfer everything over to this chassis and be more motivated to continue but that's not my situation.

I doubled the size of my shop last year and immediately filled the extra space with more projects and feel like I gained nothing. I need the extra space and know that this is a significant chunk of my problem. Please only bid if you're truly interested and plan to follow through.

Engine- disassembled on a pallet. It's got NOS factory wristpins installed into the pistons and new standard rings are included. Comes with a complete gasket set. Rod bearings were in good condition and previous owner reported that it ran well before being disassembled.

Transmission- It's very clean looking with no grease on the outside but no idea of internal condition.

Interior- seats are there but will need to be restored. Door panels are usable. There are a couple of wooden dashes but I'm sure they'll need refinishing/repair.

Suspension- front suspension has been rebuild, parts powder coated and it's on factory springs. There is a second set of sport springs included.

Body- No rust in the trunk or floor pans except for very small pinholes in the drivers side up near the firewall. Structural integrity is intact but will need to be filled. The areas behind all the fenders are rust free and there is not rust under the hood. The hood is not original to this car but is solid and appears to have had the triumph lettering filled in.

There are two sets of bumpers and at least one set of good over riders. There are two grills included, two sets of trunk hinges, two gas tanks, clean and rust free. I've got most of the extra parts now organized into a 4 x 8 metal shelving unit so I'm guessing a full sized pickup will be needed to take this home. The car will need a flatbed. It rolls around the yard but the axles are still installed to the wheels.

The car comes with the factory wheels including 4 hubcaps and also a set of “minilte” wheels with brand new 10+ year old tires on them. Good for rolling around and testing but wouldn't trust them on the road. They are not cracked but I'm sure they've hardened up.
